OIKOS Café — Restaurant in Birmingham

This is an exceptional cafe, very good quality products on offer. It is my second vist to OIKOS Café and on both occasions has been excellent. Or party was made up of people from three generations this time and afterwards we all commented on what a fantastic experience it had been to eat there. We had two cheese and ham Ploughmans both the ham and cheese were superb tasty, the chutney and coleslaw were fantastic, lovely fresh salad and bread with a choice of white or granary bread on offer. The other diner had a ham and cheese sandwich on fresh white bread, they had addition items on the side with thier sandwich. All of these dishes were freshly prepared. There were 3 different cakes on offer, we asked for a slice of each. The slices of cake were generous and superbly fresh, light and very tasty.

This cafe is definitely a cut above the rest but the prices here are very reasonable.

The ambience of the cafe is great, it feels a warn welcoming and friendly place. You order at the counter but the order is brought to your table. The staff and service is of a high standard, tables are all clean, tidy despite being a busy place and the service is with a smile.

All the staff are amazing especially Davis, Sonia, Mimi & several others. Everyone is super pleasant, always go over and above to make you feel comfortable. You never have to wait long for your food or drinks. I’m a regular goer and honestly I love this cafe. It’s very family orientated, whether you go with a bunch of friends, family or by yourself you never feel lonely in there. Everyone is super kind. The coffee is super fresh and really tasty, as for the food don’t even get me started. I have tried many such as the jacket potatoes with salad, the porridge with cinnamon, honey and banana, the kale smoothies from time to time and all the food I have tried is fresh and really nice. They always take pride in providing fresh food which is always presented to such a high standard. Went to OIKOS yesterday, with my friend, we usually meet up there, wasn’t impressed with yesterday’s service, ordered a flat white coffee for my friend, it came and it was Luke warm, and she said it didn’t taste nice, so I returned it to one of the assistants, who made us another one, when she brought it the table, she told us too drink it while it was hot, and it was the coffee , they used, the cup and saucer was hot, but the coffee was yet again, Luke warm, pointed out when this assistant came back round, and asked about the coffee, told her it was the same, and would be complaining. The coffee prices are someone else remarked is about the same as Costa. Was approached on way about seeing the manager, but as my car was parked in a car park, and near the time limit, I couldn’t wait to discuss this, I’ve tried to complain online but not having much luck.
