With some of these reviews being blank... at least make the effort to formulate your disapproval.. lazy. The oks... i ask if you know what great looks like... Becasue every other business should be graded the same if so. Which in some case isnt the reality. The people moaning about slow service, chatting staff and the complaints about the Pharmacy.... dont understand the actual work and effort it takes to be successful in customer service. The service may be slow because they are short on staff, you can never account for sickness or cover holidays to 100% effectiveness. Retail isnt given the privalige of offsetting workloads or hiring temps like office work. Also as servers they dont want to rush the customer in front of them, its not fair and you should be patient. The highstreet serves an array of people, from elderly to disabled and in some cases their only interaction with people for days. Be considerate. Chatting staff. They may be off shift, or god forbid be on the small breaks they get. Also before others want to judge, may you be the only person in a work environment history where you have never been tempted to talk to your colleagues, you may have worked with for years, see these people more then your familes. They still serve ungrateful and disrespectful customer's. If the tables were turned and customers were reviewed, believe me there would be some scathing reviews on attitude, behaviour and overall demanor. No this store is not perfect, some missing tickets, an empty product here and there. However my fellow retail workers will know what it takes to run a busy, high footfall shop, that offers multiple services and products for the general public. The joblists daily would include. Serving customers, replenishment, date coding, stock check on quantities, sercurity checks on stolen item's, defensive merchandising, general housekeeping, price increases, price decreases, plan and item updates, promotional changes, damages ,write offs, web order picks and collections, answering the phones, setting up consultations, sorting prescriptions, ordering prescriptions, customer quieries, dealing with theives....all the time. Managers being on conference calls, implementing rotas, authorising holidays, Hr and audit prep. Stock take management, complaints. I quite literally could go on. There is only like 10 members of staff. The staff have always been helpful, polite, and their service has always been better then some of these reviews state. The collective experience of the people who work there would exceed 120 years combined, with such a small team that is nothing but exemplary. The advice, given, questions answered and the above and beyond efforts i have experienced are the diamond in the ruff that is the retail experience. They are credit to their profession and work very hard, for some reviews to slate their profession by comparing them to the impossible standards that most reviewers couldnt hold up themselves. A retail experience to a retail worker is seeing through the slight imperfections and realising that this store is just as good as any other, in some cases better. 1 star is unsulting, two is out of anger, three is a cop out and may lack understanding of the retail environment. 4 is only exceptiable when you the reviewer are in a bad mood. 5 is what they deserve, perfection is impossible. The 5 stars is for the work they put in everyday to maintain what some people see as... ok. Well done team Erdington, youve been a staple on the highstreet for years and have outlasted your competition. By apparently being ok... god knows what they others where reviewed. I will continue to keep visiting each...
Read moreMe and my partner booked the flu jab for Wednesday 18th October we had a message saying they had been cancelled and to book another appointment, no reason was given. So we booked for Friday 20th October. Our appointments were for 2.20 and 2.30. We made our way there in the pouring rain absolutely drenched. We got there maybe 15 minutes early to fill out the forms. After leaving us waiting to be seen someone eventually came out to ask us what we wanted we said we had flu jabs booked and she said " you should have had a text the appointments had been cancelled" Within 10 minutes of leaving the shop the message came to say they had been cancelled. Absolutely appalling service. It could have been elderly or disabled people making their way to get there flu jab in horrible weather conditions. I won't be using this chemist...
Read moreSuperdrug Pharmacy in Erdington is a complete scam. I placed an order on 29th August, and when I called the pharmacy, they said the item was not in stock. I requested a refund, but later they falsely claimed that I had collected the order on 30th August — which is absolutely untrue. This is a serious case of dishonesty and customer deception. I will take this matter to court so that those responsible are held accountable. It’s shocking that such behaviour happens in a well-known brand like Superdrug. How many other customers have they...
