🍂 St Mary's College Birmingham is a place you will remember forever. It is also called Oscott College. It is a historic Catholic school in New Oscott, Birmingham.
This wonderful trip was organized by volunteers from Sutton Coldfield. We are very grateful to Noran, Melanie and Malcolm for their help and support. The employees of the college, headed by Father Andrii, welcomed us warmly and gave us an interesting tour. They told us about the rich history of the college. The college was founded in 1794 as the first Catholic seminary in England after the Reformation. Since 1838, it has been located in the current building designed by the famous Gothic architect A. V. N. Pudzhin.
In difficult times, the monastery and the seminary were taken away, but later the community returned, restoring its traditions and mission. A special highlight of the excursion was a visit to the library and museum, where rare books about the history of the Catholic Church are kept.
This place has strong historical links with the Catholic Church in England.
It is not only a center of learning, but also a place of pilgrimage and spiritual reflection.
When Malcolm played the national anthem of Ukraine on the organ, it was a truly touching moment that deeply touched everyone.
Great Britain and Ukraine at the big table. The atmosphere was very cozy, and everyone felt the warmth and support of the British.
This meeting became a symbol of solidarity between the peoples of Britain and Ukraine, showing how important unity and support are in difficult times for Ukraine.
