I order food at 12:10am today and it took 1.5 hour to deliver. My door bell isnāt working so I called the restaurant to let them know so they can tell the driver ( I have written note in uber eats but I wanted to make sure that they know it) I got call from driver at 1:17 that he is at my door and before I say anything he cut the call. My partner went out (itās flat on the main road) there was no one , I tried to call the driver again I couldnāt make call coz they are restaurantās driver instead uber eats was calling restaurant directly I told them that driver isnāt here and restaurant told me that I have give wrong address to them (I order food from uber eats almost 3 days in a week and this address been there since I live here and most of the delivery driver can find it easily) . They asked driver to call me , when I received a call form driver again 1:23 he said he is in the street and he couldnāt find my house when I was explaining him suddenly I heard another menās voice and he shouted at me saying I have give wrong address I told them itās not possible itās on the uber app and he was like it doesnāt work like that , I told him to talk to me nicely coz he was rude and mainly this was not the driver I was talking to it was some other men . I told him that my house is on the main road . Finally after like 5 min they came . Driver handover the food and other person was seating in the car and he was the one who shouted at me . Now the thing is I donāt know if he was form restaurant too or not but I didnāt understand why there was need of 2 people to deliver my food at this time of night ? ( Iām a girl Order was on my name ) just incase if the person was not form the restaurant what about my privacy how come a random men coming with the restaurant driver to someoneās house . Itās very concerning and scary at the same time . Also there was no need for him to take phone from driver and talk to me ! Like I was talking to driver why would you interrupt!? It was all their mistake that they couldnāt find my house itās on the main road a good driver can easily find it. yet they were rude to me and didnāt even apologies . Now come on the food I told restaurant to make my food spicy they said they have already made one curry so they canāt make that one spicy but will make other one spicy that was not at all spicy but just oil like I can say half box was just oil . naans & gobi Manchurian were half cooked and all the food was cold even though restaurant is just 15 min driver away form my house . I have heard they have nice food and nice customer service and finally I tired today but worst experience...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe ordered a takeaway (Livingston) for the extended family two weeks ago - we were a little too keen on the app and mistakenly pressed order before finishing to add all items to the order. It was going to be too complicated to try and piece things together, so we asked them if it was possible to cancel the order so that we could replace it in full, shortly after. The whole thing was a bit of an ordeal - person on the phone said they would need to clarify with manager, then said they needed manager authorisation to refund etc etc. Lots of admin. We agreed it was fine and the refund would take 3-5 business days.
We are still waiting on the refund. My husband has been in touch already multiple times - no answer on FB messages and no follow-through on a promise to call him back. Processing this refund seems to be taking an awfully long time and appears impossibly complicated. We did indeed receive only the second order but are out of pocket from the first - so it's not like we had twice the food! It's rather frustrating to keep chasing for something which is in essence easily processed (from experience) and if they are unable to process a simple refund, they should not be promising that they can - in 3 to 5...

As a vegan, I was delighted to see this new Indian takeaway have vegan options clearly marked on their menu. I ordered the mixed veg curry (which was labelled dairy-free and vegan) but unfortunately I was halfway through the dish before I noticed a chunk of paneer cheese in it.
I called Bell Bottom up right away. While they did apologise, they told me because I didn't specify in the notes to chef that I was vegan when I ordered, they gave me a vegetarian curry instead.
If a dish is labelled vegan on the menu, I didn't think it would be necessary to write in the chef notes to make sure they definitely made it vegan - but I suppose I have learned my lesson.
It is such a shame because my husband had a lovely chana masala, but now we're not sure if there was dairy in that too.
So if you have dietary requirements, make sure you note them in the notes to chef when you order, even if the dish you are ordering is labelled as suitable for your diet. It will save you a lot of upset...
