Booths Garden Studios — Local services in Corby

Well what a FANTASTIC company the experience I had designing my workshop was absolutely faultless ! It was a totally pleasurable experience working with the gentleman who came to measure up fo rather largest workshop I could build for the space I had . He made sure all of my requirements were being met internally , plugs and lighting. A installation date was set and because they are so confident in their product deposits are not required . The installation date arrived and the weather could not of been more hideous if it tried ! First of all the large lorry arrived with the workshop in pieces and then the 3 lads arrived ! Oh my what a delight they were full of banter but did they work! I felt sorry for them , where they did not have mud was no odds to anyone ! You could tell what a great team they made and despite all odds they managed to put the base down . They said they did not think they could work the next day because of the weather , and they would go home and if they thought they could do some work they would be back at 7.30:am the next morning . True to their word there they were 7.30 the next morning, bight and breezes and full of banter which was absolutely wonderful! For when you are doing a venture such as this , it is a bit of a unknown and stressful, however these lads were so great they made the process a absolute delight . The weather on the second day was really unpredictable and they struggled putting the tarpaulin on and off so many times that I lost count ! However they never complained they were totally focused and determined they would get job done to a very high standard. That night they stayed in a travel lodge and arrived early the next day finishing in the mid afternoon. I have to say it was a totally wow moment when I stepped inside it for the first time. It is worth every penny , I was so lucky I chose them , it was a gamble as I was going on the look,of the workshop and the no maintenance which was a huge selling point for me . Even the little detail of a welcome mat makes you know this company area about its customers and has pride in its workmanship and product . They are a totally green company and there is no waste left which is great to see and be part of that process. I wish them every success in these harsh times as they deserve it Thank you again from the bottom of my heart...

16x8ft Garden Studio Review.

We were looking for an affordable but quality additional space solution and our research continually came back to one business.

We are very pleased with the garden room & can strongly recommend Booths Garden Studios. It has been a genuine pleasure to deal with a business whose product and customer service skills are great in equal measure. From start to finish Booths have made the purchase and construction into a very smooth and stress free process.

We found it useful to visit their factory village in Corby where we viewed several studios of different sizes and we also thank them for suggesting & showing us the air conditioning / heating options. As a result our garden room has been the coolest place for us to spend time during the recent heatwave.

All the staff that we had contact with were polite and prepared to go the extra mile to answer any queries that arose. We were repeatedly drawn to Booths Garden Studios as they offer a genuine turn key approach with a 25 year warranty that gives us peace of mind. Their coated metallic cladding removes the worry of on-going external maintenance & the studio is portable, so if we were to move we could also take it with us, with Booths assistance. The secure lockable door & tilt opening windows all come with attractive easy to use fitted blinds.

The two man team (Matty & Mikel) who built the studio on a very hot day were incredibly hard working and they were polite & tidy throughout. Subsequent visitors for air conditioning (Dale from Booths Electricals), electrical hook up (Scott from Booths Electricals) & minor snagging issues (Alex & Pix) were all fantastic too.

Booths Garden Studios...

We decided to rent our studio from Booths and it was installed in October 2020. The building, quite honestly, has been fantastic and - as promised - virtually maintenance-free.

However the supplied wireless internet solution never worked (I eventually laid my own cable.) And the air-con was never great. We had it serviced regularly by the same guy who services our other aircon units. However, when it started to go wrong he suggested I contact Booths as these units had long guarantees but Booths suggested (after much prompting) that because we hadn’t had it maintained/serviced by them (not something I was made aware needed to happen) there was no remaining warranty. The aircon unit’s piping and fitting, according to the aircon expert, was poor and has since been gutted and replaced.

In summary, amazing spaces delivered and erected in record time and has been a wonderful working environment. For that I can’t praise them highly enough.

But from my experience I’d caution anyone to be wary of the ‘extras’ they offer because - again, from my experience - they appear not fit for purpose.

UPDATE: Booths contacted me to get the story first-hand.

It sounds as though they had no record on their database of us ever having the air conditioning fitted (which, in turn, may explain why were weren't served with notices to have it serviced.) Unfortunate, but not my fault.

I suspect the complication is that this is a 'rented' office and most people DON'T purchase Air Con and have it fitted to a rented space (in case they eventually send it back and are then left with an air con unit.)

I would also add that it's entirely possible that this could be an 'air con unit' issue (a bit 'duff' from the factory) rather than a fault of the...
