Glentworth Fish Bar — Local services in Coventry

Don't usually write reviews as its not something i do regularly but needed to give these guys credit where its due. Went in a few days ago for lunch and witnessed the kindness of the new owners when they were helping an elderly customer the lady was so greatful when they come to her aid when she felt a little unsteady on her feet offering her food and drinks. What a genuinely lovely team. Went back in tonight to order for my large family and yet again the kindness shone through. There is such a wonderful atmosphere in there now. Always ask how the customer is and cant do enough to make sure our order was done perfectly the way we wanted. . Now we always used to get the tikka meat it used to be lovely with the previous owners but i dont know what theyve done to it now but wow absolutely stunning. My new favourite for sure. So, being my local chippy, I had to bustle my way in amidst the 2-3 just Uber eat delivery guys - no offence, but surely a real life customer should take presidency? After waiting 3-5 mins to even being acknowledged, doesn’t seem long but when your own in a chippy, that’s long! And then to be told off! Yes for asking why are they being served before me? Was told to LEAVE by the aging manager! The somewhat short of customer experience assistant stated you’ve only waited a few mins, what’s your problem?!!

My problem is that you are rude, ignorant, and devoid of any customer etiquette, and I’ll not be returning, and will encourage all my neighbours to do so too.

To survive I get local business go online to support growth, but with your attitude towards real life people in shop??? face fronting customers, and with stink attitude? let’s see how much longer you wrap chips!

Tried Glenworth fishbar for a change, and probably won't be getting again.

I ordered one large Donna Kebab, one chicken burger, and a bag of large chips.

The chips were nice, good taste and right presentation, honestly very very nice indeed.

However the burger was a disappointment, served in a batch and not burger buns and the chicken part was very small, and the salad wasn't really a salad at all.

The kebab was probably the worst. Paying for a large Kebab, yet I received just about a small one. The meat was a bit unusual as it's slightly minty, and low quality meat. The salad wasn't good on it. And the chilli sauce wasn't hot. If you reduce your price, or increase your portion size it would be ok, but value for money is pretty low unfortunately.
