We attended the Queen By Candlelight show in February and were disappointed. I emailed the Rialto directly before posting my review and a month later, I am still waiting for a reply.
First of all, the event was advertised as 7pm to 10pm. When we arrived at 6:15pm, the bouncer said the doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8pm. It did not say this at the time of booking or on the website. There were a lot of frustrated people outside (not just us) not knowing what to do for an hour!
When we were finally allowed in, our tickets were scanned and we entered The Hall. There were no drinks on draught, just cans and bottles. Nobody was showing people to their seats or anything and there was quite a few people struggling to find their seats. I think some of this confusion was due to the change of seating. Upon purchasing, you could choose blocks A B or C and on arrival, there was only one block B in the middle. I assume not enough tickets were sold and it was all put together for this reason.
The show itself was falsely advertised. The "candlelight show" was some tacky LED candles along the front of the stage and the "iconic Queen visuals" was a badly edited video on the side screens that didn't even run alongside what was happening on stage - it was completely different songs to what was happening on stage and totally pointless.
The band were absolutely fantastic and the singer was incredibly talented which was the only good thing about the evening! However, on the website it mentions some of the hits that would be played and they didn't even do two of them. (Who Wants to Live Forever and The Show Must Go On)
The toilets were filthy. Not just toilet paper on the floor but a lot of dust and dirt. Another thing I would like to mention is that having no disabled access or facilities in this day and age seems very discriminatory.
This was my first visit to the Rialto Plaza and I certainly will not be rushing back after...

If there was an option for a -10, this is exactly what Rialto Plaza would receive from me. The most horrific experience, the most disgusting, rude staff member and absolutely no idea how to manage or host an event.
Took my little girl to see āThe Enchanted Afternoon Teaā event. We were let in the doors at 12noon, to which is the time it should of started (so would expect to be welcomed into the doors a little earlier to settle before the start of the show). The event then didnāt start until 40 mins later, so completely late and not informed of the late start at all. We were also placed right at the back in the corner of the room, which had absolutely zero lighting and my little girl (and accompanying adults) literally couldnāt see a thing we were eating - which completely defeats the object and purpose of the event considering itās an afternoon tea. We were all sat there with torches. After raising this as a major concern to the events manager, Mike, he was extremely defensive. We asked him to listen and understand, to which he said āIād rather you just p**s offā. First of all, we are at a children's event, under what circumstances does anyone think itās acceptable to use language such as that around children. Especially the hosts of the event. Secondly, we canāt see our food and simply asked to be relocated where my little girl can see what she is eating - how disrespectful and rude.
I will be raising this whole matter further, in particular the unacceptable language in front of infants. If anyone would like to see the pictures too, more than happy to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDO NOT GO TO EVENTS HERE. Shocking behaviour from management. Last night me and a pal were so excited to go to āa night with Gazzaā, which was a Christmas gift from my partner, who had spent a lot of money on tickets.
We arrived at the venue which had a great atmosphere and queued up to grab a beer before the show started. We ordered 2 Guinness and were given 2 cans of surge Guinness (Ā£5 each but thatās another story). The server did not surge the cans and instead told us we can just turn the can upside down when pouring and itās the same⦠it is not and they know full well. Obviously we questioned this and asked for a refund or to swap drinks. The manager then without hesitation told us not to speak to him like that and either drink what weāve been given or get out. My pal then questioned why thatās happening, the manager then got the bouncers and through us out, BEFORE THE SHOW HAD STARTED.
Upon kicking us out the bouncers said āwe know what heās (the manager) like, thereās nothing we can doā. Implying heās acted like this before. So unprofessional and disrespectful to...
