Taste Of Sri Lanka — Restaurant in Coventry

I started ordering from here about 6 months ago. I've probably had about 6 - 7 orders since and my experience has been up and down to say the least. Firstly, I've a really strong suspicion the tall skinny guy is racist towards white people. I don't know why, I just get that feeling when I interact with him - he is a lot friendlier with asian backgrounds (similiar to his own I'm guessing). One occasion he saw I was waiting, and made me wait a good few minutes before eventually taking my order, I honestly nearly reached that point where I just walked off. On the other hand, at least the guy can take an accurate order. The other staff there don't know how to take a simple order. One guy couldn't understand the simple concept of a deal that includes 2 burgers, and 1 burger on the side, separate to the deal = 3 burgers in total. In the end, after about 5 minutes of getting nowhere, he had to revert to his colleague! If they can't do that, it makes you wonder if they are capable of following basic food hygiene standards/cooking guidelines. Initially the first few meals made me think this place is actually really good value vs KFC, particularly if you take advantage of their deals. Chicken was great quality and the fries really are great. But once or twice. The chicken has been downright disgusting, once it tasted under-cooked and slimy and had me thinking I would probably get food poisoning the next day (thankfully, I didn't). Another the chicken was just really really dark. Made me think it must have had cancer, or was a really really bad batch of chicken. Why is it ending up on my plate in the first place? I wondered. The problem this place has is poor customer service and inconsistent quality of food - so I think the 3 star review is a fair one. If they got those right, I'd be going here a lot. But its not a nice feeling not knowing whether you are about to waste your money on a poorly cooked meal, I've since just stopped taking the gamble and reverted back to going to harry's haddocks who are fantastic in both (albeit its different food entirely...

If it was possible to give less than a star, I would! I ordered a pizza with extra olives and extra chicken...but BIG surprise, I didn’t got that! and when I called to the restaurant to ask why I had to pay £1.40 for something that I didn’t received, the first person who answered the phone didn’t know what was my order or why that happened and when I asked for a manager, he said that the manager was not there. But 2 min later, the manager took the phone and talk with me. The way he talked was insulting and disrespectful! He was not interested in solving my problem, or give me any answers, bit he was more than happy to tell me that he did the order and That I got my extra toppings. I will never order from you again! From food quality to the customer service everything was terrible! I don’t recommend this...

Extremely rude delivery driver. Late delivery of the food by approx 15mins. Wrong pizza delivered. Rest of the food was stone cold. When calling the company to ask for the correct pizza to be delivered that I had paid for they simply refused to replace the pizza stating “everybody makes mistakes”.
