I'm really sorry for giving such a poor response to what I had believed to be a wonderful place to go for a family holiday We have just came back from a Butlins holiday in Skegness Well I have never been more disappointed in a holiday the childrens play park was nonexistent... see photo We payed to stay in a Butlins caravan not understanding that you have to upgrade your passes from the paper one given on arrival to a material one to go into butlins activities...see prices 😒 And yet STILL have to pay for all activities on top !!! Suffice to say I was not very happy. But after doing all of this we then find out that we cannot just walk into any of the entertainment shows we have to queue up outside and will only be allowed in if there is space all because we didn't stay on the Butlins main site! ? And we were not allowed to book ?? As someone who used to go to Butlins as a child every single year it was the Clacton-on-Sea site and I would give that a million stars then . You can understand my expectation for this holiday was very high the whole point of a Butlins holiday day from Billy Butlins himself was for normal working class people to be able to afford a family holiday where you pay ONE price and your entertainment is all included and free for all the family to enjoy I can say I don't think I will ever return to a Butlins holiday again unless they sort the parks out and change the pricing to include all the...

Large pavilion that houses numerous bars, restaurants, Burger King, rides, amusements etc as well as being the focal point for many of the shows. Seating is conventional tables and chairs which can make it awkward to see the stage but it is on a few levels to try and alleviate this.

Children tend to sit on the floor at the front but this the means their understandably protective parents then stand nearby which forms a human wall.

The main "hub" where everything else is centered around. Some decent shows shown throughout the day and a good place to get some food/drink. Good luck getting a seat, let alone a table, pretty much always busy and other people are like animals in trying to beat...
