Iām too old to worry about other people loving or hating Aldeburgh! But I was lucky enough to have known it since I was 9 years old! My godmother lent my family a charming little house on the front next door, to a gentleman called who had a friend called Peter One day he my Nanny who look after me, answered the front door there was a gentleman with a friend asking my Nanny if they could borrow me to sing for them! She said yes and came next door with me! His name was Ben and his friend was called Peter! She was surprised but said yes! They said to sit down and we moved upstairs where was a lovely piano! Then Pater sat at piano and he taught me to sing a nice song the man called Ben had just written! It was called āLetās Make An Opera! I didnāt know what an opera was but sang it for them. After a while my Nanny took me home for lunch and my afternoon rest! At the weekend when my Mum and Dad came up from the country, I told them what fun it was!! My dear Papa was furious as it was illegal in those days to have gay husbands and wives! He practically murdered my Nanny, Banged on their door and said if they ever came near me or the family again he would get the police! Maybe later but Iāve forgotten quite...

Also nice easily accessible carpark within a 2 minute walk from the high street with donation payments including tap and pay inside the...
