Lovely walk, great to see paths that make it accessible and obviously well used. Lots of greenery but still managed, will be interesting to see how it evolves and whether wildlife numbers increase. I hope so. Some parking available at the Barnard Castle entrance. Expect to meet lots of folks transiting backwards and forwards from the nearby Caravan Park.

Lovely little valley ,plenty of walks,The stream running through runns in to the river Tees oposite the small carpark for the reserve,no other facilties other than that ,but ifs only a five to ten minute walk in to the town centre, well.worth a visit.

Very muddy after rain. Lovely bluebells and wild garlic. Be cautious about choosing walking routes as some are with forts and not passable when water is high. If someone wants to see a famous viaduct do not expect too much!

Lovely stroll. The first mile is on a well made concrete path so its a good choice for a short walk on muddy days. After this initial stretch the route takes you up through a very interesting wood, passing the now defunct bridge over the Tees and across several meadows and fields before circling along the wood edge to rejoin the paved path leading back to the start point. An enjoyable 3 mile to while away an hour or so in lovely...
