Chan's Garden — Local services in Great Britain

We only usually eat takeaway on New Year’s Eve (& sometimes only once every 2-3 years at that!). Decided to try this place today (NYE 2023) for the first time. OMG, never again...it was awful & the worst meal I've ever tried!

My partner & I ordered a few things to share…all the vegetables in everything tasted vinegary & off/ old/ reheated, while the other bits I tried tasted completely bland & tasted/ looked reheated & like they’d just had ordinary bland gravy mixed into things. We opened one of the dishes that’d had a sauce poured over the top, & it looked as though it had been poured over the top of everything & then stored in the fridge until it set...everything in the dish was just in a congealed jelly-like lump, & it looked like the whole lot had just been microwaved in the tub as it was all still in one solid lump which split apart when putting a spoon into it. The sauce had even dried on the surface).

I ended up having to take something out of the freezer instead, which spoilt our NYE evening completely, as well as being a complete...

Had a delivery last Saturday, and it was absolutely delicious. Placed our order online which was very quick and easy ,they even rang us minute's after placing our order to double check our time for delivery was correct ,as it was later on after opening. But we wanted to have a drink 1st out before eating .Food arrived exactly on the DOT OF TIME ASKED FOR ! And piping hot ,delivered my a lovely polite man .Food 10/10 delicious, Beef curry & boiled rice ( beef cut thin not chewy ) nice sauce and plenty of it .I had sweet &sour chicken balls cooked not too hard ( overdone ) as I have medical issues with swallowing) and curry sauce and bag of chips .it came with free prawn crackers and loved how chips are double wrapped in wax and paper bags so don't go soggy. Ist time we've used this takeaway and won't be the last .Very easy to order on its menu page and opted to pre -order and pick up later . Food was promt ,piping hot even on my 10 min or less drive home ( like to collect as I'm a picky control freak 😅) . We had beef curry with rice wich was fantastic value as some places charge over the top for the extras you could either have chips if you preferred. Chicken balls ,chips curry sauce and a blk pepper sauce. Massive bag of lovely chips !!! Free prawn crackers ,and the cutes little fortune cookies added in free such a nice touch tbf .
