Booked 2 nights in our motorhome to explore Glastonbury, communication from the owners with additional directions were really good. Site appears to have some building work in progress from the amount of supplies/cement mixer visible as you pull in. Our pitch was gravel and grass with fantastic views of the Tor, you can clearly hear the singing and drumming from the Tor until late but it's quite nice to hear as you sit out. Water, chemical toilets and electric close to the pitch, no grey water disposal onsite. Toilets/showers were hot and clean, male and female are in the same building with no separate doors to either side so you can see the first cubicles of each side. There are Fridge and kitchen facilities in the middle of the two shower areas. Site is about a mile into Glastonbury but walk via Ashwell Lane rather than the main road as the pavement is narrow and the road is fast. We didn't see the owner during our stay but we were off site a lot and had no issues, there is a telephone number on the house if you needed them. Site feels like it lacks TLC, good for one or two nights where you are off site exploring but we wouldn't...
Read moreStayed in the caravan here this week for 4 nights break. We had an electric pitch number 4. First time to Glastonbury for 2 of us and 2 dogs. Couldn't wish for a better place to stay. Beautiful property and land. Lovely friendly owner. Massive space between pitches. We were located directly overlooking the Tor. It was a meditation healing retreat for me so thank you for allowing me to have the most perfect pitch for my morning reflection times. By the way the Tor hike looks a lot easier than it actually is. Don't go on a windy day unless you love adrenaline like my other half. I could not stand straight at the top I'll leave rest to your imagination. But it was an experience we will never forget. Site is a lovely 10min walk from the Chalice Well and further 10-15 mins to the town where Glastonbury Abbey, St. Magdalene Chapel and of course the High Street full of beautiful shops with everything spiritual and mystical you can think of. Perfect stay. Thank you so much....
Read moreStayed 2 nights in March. Small site with adequate facilities when only a couple of motorhomes/ caravans visiting. Lack of privacy bathrooms which might be a problem when site full of campers. Clean water taps very low to ground and surrounded by very wet/ muddy grass. Friendly owners and its a good spot for walking to the Tor. Handy for Glastonbury too, but it's a very busy road, and although 20pmh limit, most cars etc clearly ignored speed limit. We walked round the back of the Tor into town, which is much quieter and very pleasant. Traffic noise in day but quiet at night. Personally I found the view from the hardstanding pitches ruined by the solar panels which obscured most of the Tor when inside the van (ok if weather allows sitting out). Panels are great, but needed more thought as to their placement on the site. Having said that, the site pictures are accurate. Pitch 5 looks the best and will have the best...
