I visited La Prep on my lunch break after coming across them on Instagram, and what a disappointment it turned out to be. The shop is located on one of the filthiest streets I’ve seen, with litter scattered everywhere, including right in front of the shop entrance.
The women serving me prepared my baguette without wearing gloves, which already felt unhygienic. I tried to sit outside for a short while, but it was unbearable, I witnessed multiple rats rummaging through the bins opposite the building. To make matters worse, the same woman who made my sandwich then stepped outside and smoked a cigarette in the corner. This completely turned my stomach, especially since she had just used her bare hands to handle food.
