Just realized that I posted this review on a duplicate listing so I am reproducing it again here below:
Stopped by while I was staying a few days in Inverness and was very pleased to see a huge, modern climbing gym was not far from where I was staying! I am a relative beginner who climbs in the V2-3 range so I stuck to the black routes but even in that collection there was some good variety. Big pinchy holds on some and gnarly overhangs on others and some really nice (and challenging!) slabs.
I think the place is really new because there is still some light construction going on but it wasn't barely noticeable at all besides smelling like fresh paint. But also that meant the walls and holds were in pristine condition. There is a cafe area and (what looked like) a gym area as well in what was an enormous space. I didn't really look too closely at either but I would be surprised if they weren't great.
I stuck to bouldering but they had several areas dedicated to rope climbing, including several autobelays.
My favorite part was the back wall with competition style boulders ranked 1-25 from least to most difficult. The wall varies from slab to overhang and the problems are set scattered along the wall. I particularly enjoyed some of the medium-difficulty slab problems (more my forte). I got a great workout and had a blast and felt like I made some progress so I really couldn't ask for a better experience climbing!
If you're already in Scotland, this won't surprise you, but the staff there were extremely friendly and helpful. They even gave me some tips for where to visit later in my trip! Definitely going to go back again if I find myself...
Read moreIncredible experience. A warm and welcoming team of passionate individuals make this place the perfect place to begin your bouldering and climbing journey, or to continue on the path. Steve and the other guys and girls made our first visit relaxed, educational, and productive. I would urge anyone who is looking for a great brain and body workout to pass by and get involved. A charity firm in its vision, benefitting the local community and wider populace with an exciting and rewarding resource. This is how we should do things. Kudos. We'll be back for some belay courses.

We have since returned to take the beginners climbing course. Ella looked after us today and it's the most fun I've had for ages. Hugely informative with many skills learnt. Worth every penny of the £70 and we have another session next week to go. Exceptional experience... Still pumped about it after a 2 hour train ride...
Read moreAn excellent climbing gym by any standard. I have visited on 4 occasions in the last year-and-a-bit and have never had anything less than a great time. Staff are very friendly, approachable and enthusiastic. Space is abundant, other climbers are polite and abide by etiquette. One thing I have noticed is that routes are altered and changed very frequently - this is testament to the very proactive attitude by the management, and there are a great spectrum of routes for beginners and the more experienced alike. In a vacuum, I would echo other reviewer's sentiments that The Ledge does suffer a relatively expensive entry fee, I realise that this is the price of doing business in Inverness where competition for footfall is very fierce. Whether you identify yourself as a climber or have never tried the sport before I would strongly recommend The Ledge climbing centre -...
