I recently visited Paratha Box's South Side branch and had an extremely disappointing experience. It is with great disappointment that I share my review here, as I had high hopes for this place. The fajita chicken paratha we ordered had inedible end parts still on it, which was quite off-putting. The replacement, the kebab paratha, was disappointingly rubbery, making me suspect that cheap meat was used in its preparation. This experience left us with a negative impression, prompting us to try the Lister Street branch as a last attempt to redeem Paratha Box's reputation. Regrettably, I can confidently say that we will not be returning.
Our visit to the Lister Street branch on Thursday for a takeaway was equally frustrating. The staff exhibited rude behavior, repeatedly eying us whenever we had a question or concern. This made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable throughout our visit. The poor customer service alone would have been enough to deter us from returning, but the food itself was also subpar.
We ordered the chicken tikka paratha and the kebab roll paratha with cheese. To our dismay, the chicken tikka paratha had peppers inside them, which was not mentioned in the menu or expected. Additionally, the kebab roll paratha tasted off and seemed to be made with low-quality meat. As if that wasn't enough, the extra cheese put on the kebab paratha was even melted, adding to the disappointment. It was a combination of cheap meat and expensive prices that left us with a terrible taste in our mouthsāboth literally and figuratively.
To make matters worse, my brother and I fell ill after consuming the food from Paratha Box. This unfortunate incident only solidified our decision to permanently cross Paratha Box off our list of dining options. It's deeply disheartening to have such a negative experience with a restaurant that we had hoped would deliver delicious and satisfying meals.
I sincerely hope that Paratha Box takes this review as constructive feedback and works on improving their food quality, customer service, and overall experience. Until then, I cannot recommend Paratha Box to anyone looking for a pleasant...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent to this place today, and quite surprised about all the positive reviews as our experience was very different.
We asked about whatās in the Kebab Paratha Roll and the staff replied chicken and mince. We were wondering if they could do it with just the chicken kebab and the staff replied no and rolled her eyes. We were shocked by how we were treated and how the staff are not bothered to help! This is such a shame as we were so looking forward to trying the parathas with our kids and didnāt expect this to happen at all.
We had to honestly tell her that we werenāt happy with how we were being treated as thereās no one we can complain to. She explained that it says all the information on the menu or on their website and that āsome peopleā donāt like it when the staff tell them stuff they already know. Donāt know how this makes sense as the menu didnāt make it clear, thatās why we asked in the first place!
The food was OK, good portion size, however the service was very slow. Surprised to see all the positive reviews saying their service was friendly and quick, as this was totally the opposite to our experience. Meant to go to the south side one but I guess...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreParatha box have recently opened a new branch on Lister Street and I couldnāt be happier going there for a quick bite with my kids!
This new branch is air conditioned unlike the other branch which works well during summers. They even have ample amount of parking spaces around them.
My toddler absolutely loves their parathas as they are soft and crispy just as she likes. While I usually opt for their keema (mince) paratha that comes with a special chutney. However this time I tried their Chicken pasta as well and I truly enjoyed how succulent the chicken was with the flavourful pasta and melted cheese on top. What makes the pasta interesting? It has got a bit of a desi kick to it, which means a blend of both desi and Italian just the kind of balance I prefer š„°
The ambience of the new branch is very aesthetic as well, the staff there is very humble too! They were offering tasters of their traditional desi chai and kashmiri tea. I tried their kashmiri tea this time and the aroma and taste just delighted my taste buds.
Highly recommend paratha box!
