Takeaway arrives two hours earlier than wanted. First they offer to replace the meal at the correct time. When that time came no takeaway arrives. They said as we accepted the delivery (thrust into my wifes arms by a delivery driver) they didn't think we wanted it! So they said they'd make a fresh order but it would have to wait. Decided on a refund instead, where they insisted the manager called me back. Got a hard sell from the Manager for taking more food which we were past at that point and got fish and chips instead! He did apologise which I accepted...

The review has come because after that I got a call from Just Eat about my refund. They again repeated the Managers hard sell to send us new food instead of the refund. We said we didn't want it as we made alternate plans which they agreed too.

I then got another call from just eat that they had spoked with the Curry Leaf and they wanted the food back if I was getting my refund. Fine with us as we are honest and hadn't touched a bite. 30 minutes later the driver turns up. A total of 3 and a half hours from the first delivery to take the food back. I hope no one got served this reheated, we can't trust a place that does this and felt incredibly...

I have been using Curry Leaf for a few years and I have to say it's the best Indian Takeaway in Hull. Not only for their food but for the full customer service experience. I always get a large family order and have only once had had a minor issue with the an order which they literally went above and beyond to rectify! My order this evening was placed through their app ( you get discounts and loyalty points do far better than just eat etc..), as usual there were options to suit all tastes and priced well. Some dishes I like to have tailored to my personal specifications which Curry Leaf are only happy to oblige, and for which i am extremely grateful. The food arrived within good time, piping hot and was absolutely delicious! The Tiger prawns were plump and succulent, the chicken was perfectly moist and each dish was bursting with flavour. Number 1 Place in Hull for a proper high quality flavoursome Curry. The BEEF is absolute top quality, so tender, fresh and juicy. I'm white British and I know the Indian/ Bengali community well, I know the Industry inside out on what's good or bad, and in my experience it is very very hard to beat this takeaway. I've tried them all, some other takeaways are just generic basic ok food, but Curry Leaf uses very high quality ingredients they do not cut corners and this comes across in the quality and flavour and taste of the food. It is always fresh you can always tell a good takeaway by the quality of the poppadoms, if they are stale and soft keep away if they are fresh and crisp and not greasy and just snap off that means these people even take care with the basics such as poppadoms. As mentioned I do know this industry inside out I have been in the kitchens I know a few of the Indian families so I can 100% vouch for what is good quality. In my honest opinion Curry Leaf is the best Indian takeaway...
