Dollies In Store Bakery — Restaurant in England

Dropped from 5 to 1 star due to the horrendous hygiene and pure arrogance of the staff that served me. (tallish grumpy woman with glasses in late 50's). She coughed in her hand, before taking money off a customer who had just sneezed into the same hand she took money out of, she placed cash in the till then grabbed the bread roll (cake, bun... Let's not start thar debate) and started to prep my Sandwich without washing her hands. She stopped midflow as she ran out of ham and shouted through to the back for some. While she was waiting someone came in and handed her some money they owed with filthy hands, looked like he was a mechanic. She took the cash then stuck her hand in the ham then grated cheese and threw in my Sandwich without washing her hands at all 🤮. I binned the sandwich and got one from cooplands....

(You know them don't you dollies... Cooplands the professionals just a few doors down. Go watch them see how it's done. They wash hands with such finesse 🙄)

Now honestly, this is not an isolated incedent and looking at feedback I'm not the only one that had experienced the poor hygiene here.

Also... The cold sandwiches are no longer value for money. A plain ham sandwich consisted of a single ridiculously thin single slice of ham which I couldn't even taste, cheese has become tasteless. Got a ham and cheese salad sandwich from here a while ago and it was something or nothing. Got a sausage roll also at the same time and it had animal hair (I think) and a piece of fat in it that was like string full length of the roll... Gross.

I don't go there now although they are still the best value for bacon sandwiches . I prefer not to risk catching anything.

Pros: cheap best value bacon sarnies in hull worst sausage rolls I've had in a long time handy as I pass daily cooplands is close to there so not far to walk when I walked out discusted.

Cons: the grumpy old woman rude grumpy old woman obnoxious grumpy old woman guy that works (maybe owns) is as grumpy hygiene standards are horrendous 🤒 cold sandwiches...

I could not believe what I was seeing whilst I was standing in the queue near the door, a woman about the age of 50 was serving a male who got a cheese salad sandwich used he bare hands to put the salad on the bread cake and then grabbed a handful of cheese and then the male paid with coins and then went to serve the next customer without cleaning her hands, so I went straight back to our car and got McDonald instead, if you haven't got COVID before you go I am sure you will catch it there, what a shame because there price's are so good, I will not be going there again I think the staff have not been on a hygiene course, everyone knows about basic hygiene surely especially...

Came in like 15 minutes ago and got jacket potatos with tuna mayo and cheese I live just 1 minute walk from the shop to get home and the potato's where freezing the food had to go in the bin no number to ring to ask for a replacement or refund absolutely disgusting selling food that literally has no heat to it that's also not the only issue I've had with them I got a bacon sandwich a few weeks back for it to be fried for 10 seconds max each side that had to go in the bin also DO NOT RECOMMEND...
