I had a awful experience on my very first visit. I purchased the below ornament from a seller based upstairs in this branch, who I believe to be called Busy B’s. The transaction happened in a rush at the end of the day as the Den was due to close in 5 minutes and we were being hurried out. After the doors were locked I noticed that I wasn’t given a receipt and I wasn’t sure if I had been over charged for the item (£22) so I had to return the next day to query this. After I was handed a copy of my receipt and confirmation the item was priced correctly I looked the item up online and found it readily available as a brand new item all over the internet. Amazon being one seller at a cost of £14.95. I was disgusted! So I asked for the seller to be contacted and for a refund of the excess to be actioned. They offered a £5 refund, which I agreed as I didn’t mind paying slightly more than online as long as it wasn’t the heavy excess of the original charge. The cashier wrapped my ornament in paper and tape and handed it back to me. But it gets worse. On arriving home to unwrap the ornament I found it’s ear laying on the paper. I couldn’t work out how this had happened as I trusted the cashier had wrapped it carefully. But on closer inspection I found glue dried around the head of the ornament and soon noticed a crack line around the other ear which has also been glued on. I couldn’t believe it! I instantly contacted the Den who confirmed a refund could be offered without the need to return to the store as I don’t have my own transport and live miles away, but that they would need to talk to the seller first. The Den then called me back and backtracked on what they had originally told me and now said I would need to bring the item back if I was to get a refund. I offered to post the item to them but would need a refund on my postage, which they refused. I was left with an over priced, grossly damaged item and no means of receiving my money back. I would not trust purchasing from the Den again.

Update: over 1 week later

Since communicating with Megan and James (the owners) over email, it’s been a very very odd experience. Megan has implied I am lying about the area I live in and challenged why I can’t physically get back to the Den. Megan did offer a refund but followed her message with a ban on any future visits to the Den. Her reason being that I left a review and the tone of my emails. Megan asked me to send my bank details via email, yet it’s been over 1 week and I’ve not received the promised refund since sending my bank details. I’m currently feeling very uncomfortable about the whole experience.

After recent contact again, a refund has now been issued. All...

I loved taking my grandchildren to Molly's den ,have many happy memories but I have the say the new owner has done a wonderful job ,it's all laid out so nicely now ,it's a great improvement, I'm well impressed with the den .I look forward to many more experiences of browsing around the den ,I love vintage ,the furniture is beautiful ,oh my in my dream house it would be filled with furniture from the den .many interesting things to be found at the den ,a lovely way to spend an hour or two ,the loving and Jackie magazine took me back to my teens ,I had to smile to myself ,if any of my children want an idea to get me a little gift either of those would be lovingly placed on my bedroom wall.the staff are friendly and polite .,always nice to make people feel welcome .well done and thank you.i baught my granddaughter a teddy for her birthday ,I look forward to visiting again .😊😊😊 just an idea 50 style dresses, and alternative clothing would be a great idea to have...

We love looking around this wonderful collection of all things past. We have never come out without finding something we never knew we wanted or a gift for someone else. The upstairs cafe has some really good breakfasts, sandwiches and cakes. The main hall is not all there is so look out for the upstairs area as well as little rooms that go off to the sides and have all sorts of things in them. The Den has antiques but also past curios and things you’d remember from your childhood. If you’re following a theme with your ornaments and so forth, e.g. art deco, you’ll find things that suit. The only theme we’ve struggled with is to find CRM stuff (Charles Rennie Mackintosh) but maybe we’ve just been unlucky or not looked hard enough as there is a lot to look through. Definitely a place to while away a couple of hours if this is what you enjoy. There is free parking (more round the back...

The Den is a must for people who want an eclectic market of antiques, collectibles, jewelry, vintage clothes and some very quirky items! It's an Aladdin's cave of treasures where the individual stall holders lots are under one roof and you pay at the desk in the foyer. Spread over two floors, you will definitely bag a bargain. Afterwards, you can usually have a hot drink and cake in the upstairs cafe but with Covid restrictions at the moment, that's not possible. I have taken lots of photos so that you can browse a lot of the stalls, which replenish their stock on a regular basis so you can keep returning again and again, as I do, whenever I'm in the area! Enjoy the photos!

When you walk through the door of Mollys Den you are quite literally stepping back in time. A massive selection of larger furniture such as dressers and sideboards as well as smaller items from dinky cars to retro telephones. Best way to describe it is a retro version of TK Max where you have to really look and dig for bargains. There is a restaurant on site with what looks like home made cake but also they do warm food as well. Parking is limited but to be fair there isn't a lot they can do about that.
