Alpha Cuts — Local services in Hart

So I tried this place for the first and last time.

First thing I noticed was how unclean the shop was. Shop wasn't busy but they are not sweeping the floor regularly. Hair everywhere including the rug in front of the fairly manky brown sofa. The floor is also never mopped regularly and you can see the dirt. Should be at least mopped every other day. They should have pride in their shop and keep it clean! This level of uncleanliness is a sign of not taking care of your business.

My Son and I had our haircuts. My son's wasn't to bad to be honest but my cut was bad. Lot's of sticking out strands all over. Both the temple hairline areas were not even and not symmetrical. One of my Sideburns was slanted, the other was straight. I got home and had to fix my temples and sideburns myself with clippers. Yes they show your hair with the hand held mirror but not easy to see the poor quality when they flash the hand held mirror around your head and the distance from the main mirror.

My Son's (child) and my haircut (both short sides and bit off the top) cost £38!!! This is the most expensive haircuts we've ever had and more than every other Barbers in the area. It's fair enough to charge what you need to but I'm sure I couldn't see the prices advertised in the shop. Hence I felt cheated as I paid a lot of money for my poor hair cut.

Just been here for my first time as a "walk in". I wasn't too hopeful but was warmly welcomed by the owner and informed that they were fully booked. The owner then explained to me that the apprentice would cut my hair just as good but might take time slightly longer. I must say that Archie the apprentice did a great job with my hair!

Very professional, polite and friendly service. Im a bit OCD with my hair but can honestly say that this place is brilliant and will continue to use them for all future cuts. I will also be booking Archie for my cuts!

I had to pay double because of their booking system. I paied £34 instead of £17 because the owner didn't want to accept that the booking I've made the previous day was canceled due their own policy of 2 hours. Please have a look at the default time when you book, it's around 10 minutes before you can cancel your booking. I admit this was all my fault for not looking at the time but it's just a scam with what they've done. I just moved into the area and I can't believe how hard it is to find a...
