Tiffin Wala — Restaurant in Hart

Delivery order was probably the worst Indian food that has ever been delivered to my door, No idea why it's gone downhill as this is my normal go to Indian but today has definitely made my mind up that when your paying for a service it shouldn't be of such a low quality that It had to be put in the Wheely bin because the smell of I'd like to say smokey charcoal but that wouldn't be right as that can be an enjoyable smell when with food but it's more smokey burnt oil which isn't the taste that goes well with a madras, pilau rice, garlic naan or even the stale poppadoms.

I can highly recommend cooking at home or if not avoid this restaurant like it has the plague, I know it's a bit strong sounding but if the food is as bad as they believe is good enough to deliver then your own health should be your top concern. Failing that go to Camberley and sit down where the competition should guarantee a reasonable quality

I would like to update my review to express my appreciation for the sincere apology offered by Tiffin Wala, it goes a long way to show they are serious about making sure customers' concerns are dealt with so a big thank you. Sadly I will not be redeeming the £40 voucher but offer thanks for the offer but my mind was made up, I can only hope the chef gets further training and possibly made to eat the food he serves up, so your other loyal customers aren't expected to suffer...

I’m absolutely disgusted in the way I have been treated by the manger/owner of tiffin wala. Not only did we have to wait a hour and forty five minutes when the wait time should of been no longer then a hour. When it did turn up it was cold and One of my items was missing. When I rung to tell them this straight away they said they would send one back out after 45 minutes I rung to ask where it was to be told I I had lied and I did get the missing item. And they wouldn’t deliver it. I explained that I wasn’t happy as I had waited 45 minutes thinking it was going to turn up and the food was cold.he told me I was lieing. He was rude and unprofessional. He then went on to say more then once not to use his restaurant cause they where in black water which is on only 5 miles away and to use the one near to me that had been closed down by environmental health, Very strange behaviour. I did the order on a app and delivery time was no more then a hour and the distance was fine. Clearly this was not the case. When the manger did deliver our food his appearance was scruffy and dirty. Our first time for an indian Takeaway, we do like curry dishes but have only been home made, thought we would have a treat but was worried it could be too hot as we like the flavours but not keen on too spicy, so as such asked when ordering if we could have the meal for 2 to be mild, the responce was he would ask the chef and that could be done,i can appreciate what is mild to one may not be the same to another but should there be whole chilli in a mild dish? as such it was too spicy for us, not only as there were chillies in it, which i removed but the sauce was as well, i even rinsed that off but the chicken had been marinated in a sauce that i wouldn't say was mild which spoiled it for me. Having said that the quality of the food was good and the portions were decent as well, would have been better to have a rating on the dishes for novices on the menu, maybe a section for mild dishes, or mild alternatives,again we love the flavours but can't taste those with...
