Hayling Island — Local services in Havant

As a fisherman I often visit hayling Island for its good fishing and ease of getting to for me and there also being a good tackle shop on the island. Other than fishing , there is Plenty to do on the island for all the family to enjoy and places to eat. Plentiful parking although it's not the cheapest compared to other nearby seaside towns. Several public toilets right by the main beachside car parks though they do close around 6pm which needs considering if you're staying into the evening. You can always rely on an amazing sunset at hayling if the sun is shining. The only downside is that during Summertime the journey on and off the island can take sometime due to heavy traffic. What can I say, born and raised here so have to give it 5 stars.

Beaches are lovely in the summer and busy if it's hot. The island has a funfair that again is busy in the summer. Beaches are clean unless there's been a storm, mainly stone beaches however there's are the odd spots where it's not an issue. I would highly recommended when getting to the beach walk along the beach a little for the best quiet spots. To many people drive up and park, then just walk down to the beach front. Hence all carparks are busy and the beaches around them are very busy.

Never go to Hayling Island. The beach is stoney, there is only one road off and on, it is always windy, the local water company pumps raw sewage into the local harbour and it leaks.
