Absolutely disgusted that a staff member found the money i had dropped and gave it to another person. Went here on sunday and i accidentally dropped a money bag with £150 inside it at the self serve check outs. I had got to the car when i realised it what had happened. I instantly returned to the self serve check out and ask the lady working there if she had found it. She had so i was relieved and initially greatful however what she didn't tell me was that she had given it to another customer. The security at the doors started looking through the footage and after some time said he couldn't see anything. I told him the staff member told me she picked up the money. So he looked again he said the only thing i had in my hand was my phone and to look inside my phone. I showed him at this point i was get frustrated and returned to the self service with another security guard. She told him that she had given MY money to an african lady wearing green trousers because she looked like she had lost something (she was patting her pockets) and asked her if MY money belonged to her ahe said yes so she handed it to her. So back to the other security man the one i was with explained it to him and found everything on the footage. The man at the screens looked at me and says she left the store now. So i am getting distressed at this time because this has taken at least 20 to 25 minutes, I could have had my money back had he looked properly the first time. He then said 'what do you want me to do its a police matter now.' Im pretty sure protocol is if a member staff find something on the shop floor they have to hand it in to the desk or manager, not showing random people the cash and asking if it belongs to them. As for speaking to a manager its no go i was supposed to get a call this morning it didn't happen and after going into the store the manager couldn't give two hoots and say it will be dealt with in house. The police are now involved.
Edit due to response: the manager who was in on the 26th of February did not call the following morning. The manager who was in on the 27th of February was not interested. They are fully aware and do not care. The chances are i will not see MY money again which i would have if the staff member had followed protocol. Then to add insult to injury had the man sat at the security screen had actually listened the woman who had been given my money could have been stopped. I'm lucky as i have people around me that have been able to help me out financially as i only do part of my shopping in asda but i will not be...
Read moreGot to Asda for opening time - 7am at the moment, Saturday morning. There is no fresh bread on the shelves. Bakers are dossing around drinking tea & singing. I stood & waited 20 minutes for bread, until a woman came up to me & asked if I needed anything, I told her large bloomers and tiger breads, she replied they hadn't even baked them yet! They've increased the cost of bacon by 50% and made it so you can only buy a 600g for £4 now. Talk about taking advantage of the recession we're facing by rinsing their customers and hiking up prices. Supermarkets have made more money than ever before during this time, absolute cheek of it. There was multiple members of staff stacking shelves on every single aisle with huge carts of stock all down them, making social distances near impossible with them and other customers, Asda staff do not social distance they come right next to you. Then you have an older female security woman (short woman, blond hair) who stands at the end of my self checkout every single time I shop there, staring right at me, like an absolute weirdo not taking her eyes off me for a second whilst I scan my items. I've had a couple other members of staff to do this to - I believe this is because of the way I look, newsflash I earn more money than the lot of them combined, I don't need to steal food & I wouldn't either. I gave up ordering pizza from the fresh pizza counter a year ago, it would take 30 minutes to get served, as they are so incredibly slow & just faff about talking to eachother. And finally, lets not forget this one woman who works there who follows me and my boyfriend around the shop everytime just to smile at him, trying to get him...
Read moreI recently visited the Asda Killingbeck Cafe, hoping to satisfy my coffee addiction while grocery shopping with my partner. The cafe boldly claimed to serve Seattle's best coffee, but my experience left me highly disappointed.
Upon perusing their limited menu, I settled on my favorite drink, a hazelnut latte. However, this cafe managed to turn even this simple order into a bizarre experience. The coffee machine was broken, and I was handed an empty cup without a lid, instructed to use an automatic machine to serve myself. To make matters worse, the hazelnut syrup was poured directly from a bottle without any measurement at the till.
This whole setup felt more like a visit to a low-quality gas station with one of those subpar Costa coffee machines. To make matters worse, the machine ran out of milk, and I had to wait for one of the overwhelmed team members, who was already struggling to attend to other customers, to refill it.
Overall, the experience was characterized by terrible service, low-quality coffee, and a hefty price tag of £3.59, especially when you're essentially left to serve yourself. There was a complete lack of customer service, and the waiting time seemed never-ending. My local cafe offers far superior coffee with an acceptable level of customer service, making the Asda Killingbeck Cafe a disappointing choice for any...
