I have asked for 2x Lunchtime Special 1 and one Large Fish and Chips. Staff have charged me for Regular Fish and Chips where Its more expensive and I have to buy separate Mushy peas. As soon as I paid and looked at the Receipt found out I have been charged different than what I asked for. Lunchtime Special 1 is £5.95 with Mushy Pease but charged £8.50 for Regular Fish and Chips and then made me pay separate £1.40 for Mushy peas. Cost me extra and when I asked just 30sec after paying another customer asked for Lunchtime Special 1 offer and they have served him. They said that's what I have asked for and giving me attitude and rudeness about we are not gonna waste this fish now what I have just started for you. Staff is not friendly at all and overcharging customers and trying to make sale.

Today a Friday night the food was rubbish.. soggy fish, barely any batter, smaller than usual, greasy chips. Will not give my money to this place again and will spread the word to my family and social media not to buy from this shop

We try all types of takeaways and Restaurants and Midgeleys food is consistent and the staff are fab, as far as complaints about the chips....Anyone that knows anything about fish and chips and potato's knows it depends on what time of year it is and what tats are available at what cost!!

I've read the bad comments on here and they are obviously put on here as a business tactic....Why are there people queueing out of the door almost everytime we drive past.....?

They serve good quality Haddock and the batter stays crispy and tasty even after being wrapped up on 3 mile a car journey home....

Someone comments 'worst fish and chips they have ever had!' well they must have only had them twice and the other time was made by their...

The fish and chips never disappoint. Normally a reasonable turnaround to get in and out. They won't take telephone orders for collection, which is annoying, as they have a phone and do answer it. The fryer is on the ball and is clearly attentive to what customers are ordering. But some of the counter staff don't listen to the orders in detail. And are quite frankly, unfriendly and rude. It is a busy shop, I am unsure whether they just don't like working there or are underpaid. Good fish and chips, shame about some...
