Embassy of Sweden — Local services in London

Well all friends I like to share you my experience with Sweden Embbasy in London I travel a lot with no issues and after or before I travel to EU with no issues without visa but after Brexit I need a visa to travel EU I m holding 1951,travel Document so many countries allow me with no visa from UK because I live in UK and pay Tax in UK & I m a Good tax payer I submit my & wife passport for visa to VFS visa Center when we go to appointment the person was nice but big lied to me she says my all documents need one more copy for my wife because both cases goes separately I tell her why we are husband and wife she don’t work and I work only but she says no I need copy’s of all your documents I have more then 300 pages 3-years bank statements 3-tax pay HMRC I have my Credit Card statement I have my BRP cards copy’s I have hotel booking for travel on 23-Feb-2022 and return on 02-Mar-2022 and I also have a extra booking for jul 2022 to Sweden for summer exploring which I explained to visa officer but extra letter so he knows we both want to go again to Sweden for holiday I have a wonderful life her and I have everything here in UK With beautiful Car house money all I have but after paying to Sweden Embbasy for two visa fee £214.00 which they taken together not separated because we both are husband and wife but papers they need separate so they send me to nearly by photo copy shop who change me for copy’s 0.50 each which I make few copy’s and he taken £50 for those copy’s for nothing and after this all hard work to submit the application for visa what Sweden Embbasy London Visa officer think that we both stay in there country and issue as 9-Day Sweden single entry visa even that we have multiple entry visas on are passport and travel documents from other Embbasy even that Sweden Embbasy visa officer think we stay in Sweden where No lights on highway and streets hole country is in dark I can’t drive in the night because I booked a rent a car from the airport and it’s so difficult for me to drive on Sweden streets without high lights I spend 7-days which I have a horrible experience of my life they are so race’s they know English but they don’t want to talk even that Sweden Immagration is so poor we reach to 23-Feb-2022 and they out Entry stamp on are passport 13-Feb-2022 when I complain them they says we can’t do anything such a poor immigration system and poor thought people in London Embbasy I never ever say anyone to travel to Sweden for holiday and waste your money in this country, It’s been shamed I decided to travel Sweden , The Embbasy in London stilling people money for issuing visa for single entry and taking fee of multiple so my advice to all travellers stay away from Sweden Embbasy in London life worst experience, Shame on them when they taken decision like this who wants to stay in Sweden when they are well settled in United Kingdom , Just think before you decided to give visa to someone shameful officer just need money to help there own country, even I tell to VFS office if Sweden Embbasy London need more money for 6-months visa let me know I m happy to pay but what they think we both stay there because we are well settled in UK . I have been trying for months to get an appointment to renew our passports (for myself and rest of the family) but it seems to be an impossible task as the embassy's website does not allow you to book any slots whatsoever.

A country with the worldwide reputation of the effectiveness in all aspect of life can not deal with such a simple issue. How did they gain this reputation? Is this another silly excuse of covid related matter ? someone on the previous post wrote about a better service is provided in a third world country and i cant agree more on that.

Is there any possible legal route through which we can challenge this shameful system they have created?

For many years ago this very wonderful embassy was the only embassy which provided telephone booking system through a premium rate phone number and on average it took 5-8 minutes to book the appointment which normally cost in region 4-5 pounds if you were successful to book your appointment and if you were not successful then you had to phone again for another 4-5 pounds.

This is happening in Europe and in one of the most so called developed and civilized countries in the world. I only say really ???? if that is not bad enough now they have come out with announcement about the difficulties they are experiencing and blaming Brexit for the backlog.

Can anyone tell me what does a poor appointment booking system have to do with Brexit? It is absolutely shameful.

I was checking what the UK nationals living in Sweden need to do to renew their passport and you will be surprised to know how easy it is. They need to go government website and apply and do everything digitally.

Why cant they do this and save all the hassle for everyone ?

This is just beyond me and they should be ashamed...

Iam trying to book appointment for expired passport for 1 year iam stuck embassy has been rediculous I can't travel my childrens passport are expired too they should open online passport application like British passport and deliver the passport at home address.which is easy and British passport people have sympathy towards their citizens. Swedish embassy in London should do the for people with expired passport. and seems like they want to charge the double price of passport renewal get emergency passport and pay 145pounds and then pay for air ticket to go to Sweden and pay again for normal passport spending thousands to get swedish passport renewal it's illegal what they are doing if they want us to renew passport in Sweden they London embassy should give us airline ticket and money for hotel as people wave not money tree in our homes which can pay Air line ticket back and forth and I have not heard German Italian or any other countries suggestions to their citizens to go back and renew it's pathetic and riff off scheme by swedish embassy it should be closed when they are not giving appointment for passport and I even told them to open online system for renewal of expired passport in person appointment should be for 1st time passport application I really hate their riff off system ripping theirs citizens just to renew passport and making life hell as one can't travel not everyone has dual nationality serious action must by taken all people should do Protest like people did for George floid and other protest when someone is doing wrong andripping off their...
