Boots — Local services in Manchester

The Boots in Crumpsall I used regularly has closed for good, such a shame because the staff there were always friendly and were well organised and never disappointed anyone. I would normally write a good review but this is my first time for writing a bad review as I have experienced. This Boots pharmacy (ONLY PHARMACY) inside Boots at Manchester Fort is a joke and really need to be organised, I had to call to find out if they have received my prescription and was told it’s ready to pick up. When I got there had to wait a while as they were serving one customer which took forever and other staff didn’t even bother to ask if anyone is waiting. They are the slowest and laidback staff I’ve ever seen in my life. Also I never had to reorder my prescription because the old place done it for me, now I’ve been told I have to reorder myself that’s fine and was told I would receive a SMS to say when my medication is ready to pick up. Well I’ve ordered my prescription on 16/02/2024 and should have been ready for collection, Today is the 22/02/2024 been calling them since yesterday and no answer. ###(DO NOT COME HERE)### If your Pushto speaking or Afghan do not come to this pharmacy in boots. Last week, my elderly mother came to this pharmacy to enquire for some eye drops. The assistant to the pharmacist, a dark skinned Pakistani male with a small white/black beard, made a loud racist remark in Urdu. Fortunately, my mother can speak and understand Urdu. He stated "Pathans, are born dumb". Is this how your staff speak to patients? Why is racism from white people not tolerated BUT okay for others to do.

I tried my best to make a complaint, but the person on the phone wouldn't even give me the name of the Pakistani man. She said the manager would ring me on Monday, nobody rang me.

This shows that the management tolerates racism by their staff on patients and ignores patient complaints, terrible management, terrible place, if your from a minority group, please be careful, only god knows, what kind of racist things they said in Urdu about Jews, Indians, Arabs and...

Wish there was a zero star option. This pharmacy will send you a text to collect medication but will then have no medication for you to collect when you arrive ? . I will order a repeat prescription and they will then text me saying come collect it then when I arrive they claim they having no medication to give me. This is the only pharmacy where I have had to fight to get medication. I don’t think they know that their whole purpose as a pharmacy is to give out medication not hoard it and claim there must be a system fault. How can I show them proof that I’ve ordered the medication , my GP has approved it and Boots pharmacy have sent me a text to collect it yet when I arrive to collect it boots claim there is nothing to collect how it that possible? I won’t be back to this Narnia pharmacy save your time and energy and go to a small local pharmacy, trust me...
