For the last 18 years I have visited as a regular customer with family and friends,today marks the end of an era. Having completed our shopping tonight my husband and I visited the store for a much needed coffee. While I awaited my drink having paid. My husband queued to use the bathroom, as he queued a lady left then a member of staff jumped in front to routine clean....a mother carrying her baby and an elderly lady joined the queue at that moment, with a boy about 4yrs old. The boy could not wait and was teary and the family desperate -so my husband directed them in front of him and politely knocked to advise the staff member the boy could not wait. The staff member stormed out of the toilet shouting, then proceeded to shove a chair across the restaurant and went into the staff only area at the rear of the shop. The boy went in and used the toilet with his parent. The cleaner returned and proceeded to shout at my husband regarding how the cleaning needed to be done for H&S and was waving his hands in a threatening manner in my husbands face something along the lines of this is not a public toilet, we were paying customers! A 2nd barrista whom had taken my order joined the cleaner in the toilet area, I asked him to come and return my money and cancelled the drink with the lady barrista, I asked her to contact the manager as the situation was volatile, she told me that was the manager! While refunding me the server proceeded to try and justify the behaviour of the irate manager! Telling me about H&S, I advised him both my husband and I are teachers so understand the importance of assessing risk and H&S, however, in desperate circumstances- you have to make more professional judgements .As we walked out of the door the server continued to shout to my husband in a completely unprofessional and provocative manner. The child urinating on the shop floor would have posed a much larger risk to patrons. In the long run, this will save me and my family a fortune as we will not be visiting this store again. Read moreMy ftiend went to buy a coffee and had a giftcard(£2).The employee scanned, said it isn t working and didn t want to enter code manually. Is 2nd time when this happens there. My friend paid in full left embaressed as other people were looking. If it was me there i would have made a big scandal. It is a joke to be lazy, not respect people and treating people different cause of their accent or just you can t be bother to type in some letters. Her english is poor but you can help out and be nice cause that is what is part of your job. You don t like the job just leave it. Tried to complain on the website but it is a joke to be able to fill those forms. Just doesn t let me to aubmit the complain. Today in city centre 28 Market St, Manchester M1 1PW worked no problems and asked if they can do manually if needed and said no worries if it doesn t scan will do that. Top staff in this Costa but the one at Fort a dissapointment. Shame on the girl working there. This happened yestersay at 11 20. I think that girl is a manager there.

Read moreI have been a loyal customer of Costa for about 10 years, visiting Manchester Fort Costa almost every day. This branch used to be very nice, but sadly, the standard has dropped because some of the staff are now extremely rude and unprofessional. In particular, there is one male staff member (photo attached on Google review) who is shockingly unhygienic and rude. I have seen him multiple times putting his fingers in his nose, rubbing his eyes, and then making coffee without washing his hands. He often yawns openly, looks tired, and handles lids and cups with the same dirty hands. Recently, I have noticed his eyes appear infected, and he continues to rub them before preparing drinks without any care for hygiene.I go there every day, and I have witnessed this repeatedly. It is disgusting, unhygienic, and unacceptable. It is a health hazard for all customers and damaging to your brand’s reputation. I urge the owner and management to take immediate action, address this staff member’s hygiene and attitude, and ensure Costa’s standards...
