We recently visited Challenge Point in Manchester and had an absolutely fantastic time! Booking was a breeze—if you’re a Blue Light Card holder, you can phone up and get a 10% discount, which is exactly what we did. I called just an hour before we wanted to attend and spoke with a lovely man named Dave, who got us all booked in for our session with no fuss.
Upon arrival, we were asked to come 15 minutes early to get settled in. We were buzzed into the building and directed to a comfortable dressing room to the left, complete with sofas, tables, and a TV. After relaxing for a bit, we watched a presentation led by a wonderful staff member. The staff members running the show were knowledgeable, funny, and made the experience really enjoyable from the start. They had us come up with creative team names, which added a fun, competitive vibe right from the beginning.
Once everyone was settled, we were led to a waiting area with a lot of chairs. Our team names were projected on the wall next to a coloured door, which indicated which room we’d be heading into first. If you love game shows, then Challenge Point is definitely for you—think of it as a combination of The Cube and Limitless, all rolled into one exciting experience. We got to play seven different games, each lasting around five minutes. During that time, you work as a team to score points and try to beat the other teams.
The variety of games was incredible! We played a version of the limitless ladder, supermarket beep, laser mazes, crazy golf, charades, and more. It was challenging yet incredibly fun—everyone in our group really enjoyed it. For each game, you scan your lanyard, which activates a video explaining the game’s rules, how to play, and how to score points. It was super easy to follow, and once the game was done, you returned to your seat until the next round.
Halfway through, we got to spin what we dubbed the "Wheel of Doom" (because we lost four points doing it!), but other teams managed to score points, play a mini game (higher or lower) or win a "disappointing prize." It was a hilarious and unpredictable addition that added even more excitement to the experience.
After seven games, the team with the highest score gets to play a final round. Unfortunately, that wasn’t us, so we didn’t get to see what the final challenge was all about—but we’re already planning to come back and hopefully win next time!
Challenge Point is coming up on its first-year anniversary, and they mentioned that they try to introduce a new game every three months. We can’t wait to see what’s next! This is an excellent activity for families or even team-building events at work. You can play in teams of 2 to 6 players, and I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fun, engaging, and slightly competitive experience.
We can’t wait to return—hopefully, we’ll do even better next time! Why is all the fun stuff...
Read moreHad a great time at Challenge Point.
The games were great except a few were slightly difficult where I often questioned its ability to score points in. I would have liked more rooms to have played in, similarly to Enigma Quests where you can enter upto 30+ rooms within an hour. I believe because staff need to reset the rooms; this can take an extra while.
The facilities in the venue was amazing; to have seen sanitary products in womens toilets be available is refreshing and reflects how inclusive this establishment is.
The hosts were patience and amazing. Compliments to Jasmine- she was brilliant.
Overall, was a good day out at challenge point. Few things- would have liked more rooms with more variety and possibly with more timing to be able to enjoy the game. I feel once you have started the game, youre really focused on winning the game than actually having the mindset and time to enjoy the game. Youre more focused on time than actually enjoying it. Perhaps if more time could...

This experience consists of a series of short, gameshow-inspired minigames that rely on mental, physical and technical skill. As an escape room addict, this was up my alley.
I was part of a team of 2 competing against several other groups (you complete the games in your own team though- no mixing- as each is contained in its own appropriately themed space). Every challenge lasts a few minutes.
We came out on top and so got to play the bonus game at the end but came nowhere near to the leaderboard! Teams of 4+ can definitely rack up more points in some of the games. You play 7 of the 9 in one session.
The team members were chatty and friendly, adding to the fun atmosphere. I’d...
