Horrific Experience with the Store Manager at Newry - September 1, 2024**
I had the most appalling experience today at the Newry store, and it was all because of the Store Manager. The level of unprofessionalism and sheer disrespect displayed by this individual was beyond anything I've ever encountered.
We approached the manager with our receipt to inquire about the availability of a product that was listed as available online. Instead of assisting us, he took our receipt under the pretense of checking availability. But rather than simply returning our receipt, he started processing a refund against our wishes. We repeatedly told him that we did not want a refund and just wanted our receipt back to complete our purchase, but he refused.
He then went as far as hiding the receipt behind his back, refusing to return it to us. When we attempted to retrieve our property, he physically resisted, holding onto the receipt and moving away from us. It was clear that he was trying to force a refund on us despite our repeated objections. His behavior was completely unacceptable and left us feeling powerless and disrespected.
To make matters worse, when we insisted on our right to have the product as it was available online, he continued to dismiss us with a smug, condescending attitude, clearly showing that he believed we had no recourse.
This kind of treatment from a manager, someone who should be setting the standard for customer service, is absolutely disgraceful. I strongly advise anyone to avoid this store at all costs. No one should have to go through such a demeaning and...
Read moreI don't usually leave reviews but this was ridiculous. I ordered a kettle to be delivered to store. I waited about a week and then tried my tracking number to see where it was, but it said my number was invalid. My order status wasn't updating either.
Over the next two weeks I talked to 4 customer service reps who all just told me to use my tracking number (which I explained didn't work) and to wait. At this point I just wanted to cancel my order. I went in store and they said they couldn't do anything for me as it was an online order.
The week after I got talking to another customer service rep who gave me the same response as the others. I had to insist that my item was missing and I wanted a refund. They fought me on this for about half an hour, until they said they can email the supplier and check to see if it was missing or not. WHY WAS THIS NOT DONE BEFORE? About another week goes by and it turns out it was in fact missing and I was issued a refund.
I'm not even annoyed that the order went missing and I had to beg for a refund for a month and a half, I'm annoyed that it took 6 people and my stubbornness to resolve my issue. Read moreI bought a cooker machine on the 13th of December , and since then i'm trying to have the one I wanted. First they delivered one with missing parts, then i received the missing parts, but found out the machine had gas oven, while I paied for electric one, then they delivered the right one, but didn't collect the one i had. I specified they had to swap, but apparently this information went lost. I then sent everything back and got refund. Today they were supposed to collect the cooker in my house, they never showed up, i i went to the shop and they said 'someone tried to call you, and left a voice mail' which i don't have . I only hade ONE missed call. Tried to call me, but not really wanted to get in Touch. I thought it was somebody that called the wrong number. I only had that answer from the manager in the shop: 'Someone will come between this week and the next one'. I asked for a date, but I didn't have my answer. Can't wait to get rid of this bloody machine and finish that joke. It's only since 13th of December that I'm going back and forth to the bloody shop... I wouldn't give a star either, for how they are treating me....
