I flew all the way from Australia to England just to eat at this restaurant — and it exceeded every expectation.
From the moment I walked in, the aroma alone told me I was in for something special. The atmosphere strikes that perfect balance between cosy and refined, with warm lighting, friendly staff, and the kind of buzz that comes from a kitchen doing everything right.
Now the food — incredible. Every dish was a masterclass in flavour and authenticity. The butter chicken was rich and velvety, the lamb rogan josh fell apart with a spoon, and the garlic naan was so perfectly blistered I’d come back just for that. Spices were bold without overpowering, and everything tasted freshly prepared with real care.
Special mention to the house-made chutneys and the mango lassi — both unforgettable.
You know a meal is extraordinary when you’ve crossed hemispheres for it and are already thinking about your next visit. If you’re in the UK (or even if you’re not) — make this place your next...
Read moreWent to chai roti last night for the first time, they were clearly very popular with people coming in and out to collect their food. The man at the counter took time to explain the menu to us telling us they make everything fresh so can adapt our order to our liking spice wise etc. We pre ordered for an hour later as had only popped in for a menu and it was a little early for us to eat. When we went back, the man was just as friendly and very helpful. The food was just as good as the service we had received. The best Indian take away we have had in a very long time. Everything was hot the naans were very soft and the flavours were lovely. We could tell everything had been made fresh and not just reheated as weve had from other takeaway restaurants. We will definitely be back again to try other things on the menu. Thank you for a...
Read moreMeh. The decline in the external appearance of this takeaway has been matched by a decline in its food. I went there recently as a treat, for the first time in years, but was disappointed. The food used to be top-notch, worth 5 stars, now it's mediocre at best. Clearly Chai Roti has suffered not just over the lockdown, but with the opening of two new eateries in Bramcote shops. I'd be surprised if it lasts out the summer. A shame, as there's no other decent Indian eatery outside of...
