Burg Burgers Bramcote Lane — Restaurant in Nottingham

Bit disappointed. Tried Burg for the first time today, ordered on Uber eats. I ordered the Philly cheese steak, waffle fries and an Oreo milkshake. Cost me £17.68 altogether which I’m not too keen on but it is what it is especially with rising prices at the moment. Was pretty excited to try this new place, order arrived opened my bag and I see that I got no milkshake, bearing in mind that it cost me £6.50 so I rang up told them I didn’t receive it, apparently the Uber driver “forgot” it 🙄 and they asked me to come down and collect it, no way am I walking 20 minutes to get my drink because I live local, they offered to put my name in a book so I could get a free milkshake but I just decided to review my order on Uber and get a refund. My Philly cheese steak was a bit plain and for the amount you pay £9.90 doesn’t match those standards, it was nice but just a bit plain that’s all. Then the waffle fries, I think £3.50 is good for the amount you get however they were a bit like cardboard 🫤 not a good experience at all. Great food. In person service issue needs addressing.

This was our second trip to Burg in Wollaton.

We had a nice meal but the same issue both times.

The burgers as tasty and flavourful with a sensible variety. The side portions are immense especially the house fries. Enough for one portion between 2+ pending your appetite. The shakes are impressive too although very 'Mr Whippy' like.

We also had the salad box which is crazy large and enough for 2 unless your are mega hungry. The tenders are yummy.

My main issue that we have had twice now is that Burg seem to prioritise takeaway orders over in person.

We ordered for a group but it took over 30 mins.

Last time we came was similar however takeaway orders that come in after get dealt with first. While I can understand the uber eats issues it not fair to those in person.

The decor is attractive without about seating space for 20 people in total. Parking is simply by Bramcote...

Ordered via the app and collected 20 minutes later. Burger was very tasty and high quality, the dirty fries were a second meal so much flavour, very nice. Would definitely recommend.

Edit : New Year's Eve, ordered online collected 30 min later, the service counter was busy with deliveroo/uber eats drivers waiting for there orders. The one lady serving seemed a little overwhelmed, and kept popping out the back. Unbeknownst by me my order was already done, although the app said otherwise, and without an order up display like McDonald's it seemed a little unorganised for service. Happily the Uburg burger and beef messy fries were very nice and worth waiting for. Just not good for walk in orders at busy times.
