☕ Visit 2021 🍩
I've been back to BIRDS 🍰☕🍭🍩🥛🍴 a few times but in and out this visit was with the org friend from the troubled visit stated below.
Windows had show material on showing rules for socail distancing etc ( tick) staff greeting was lovely on point and with a smile just how we like it from BIRDS 🤗 staff spoke to us and informed me of what was available (tick) up sold me cakes for take away 😋 ( I'm lactose intolerant but have a pill if the need is great for dairy) asking for my coffee wasn't has complicated (2 members of staff all over it and helped other staff know where the dairy free milk was tick) and wasn't sent all over the place for it (tick) I thought oh no they have seen my feedback but we all laughed it off. One thing BIRDS do need to do and will save money is get a GOOD SOY MILK OR/& LACTOSE FREE MILK LAST LONGER AND CHEAPER TO KEEP . The small hotel type milk cups won't do esp for your coffee was handed 2 ..i went for 3 more and coffee looked too dark please looked into this has most places have done this already and seeing the difference in footfall and profits. Some dairy free cakes would be a great addition too😋 But to the lady who served me bless you and keep your lovely outlook .. names added later when I pop back in 🥇
🤦🏾♀️ Original visit 2020😐 Has an ex customer service advisor of 20yrs in different field's I'm going to be honest. I've not experienced service like this in a very long time. I waited for my 2nd visit to make sure. There was 2 members of staff that was very open and nice. They served me on the bakery side one even went the extra mile to make me a dairy free cappuccino.which prob was a flat white but she did it with no extra noise to me. On my 2nd visit with my friend who's birthday it was so I was treating ended up not so great the same member of staff who tall blonde/mousey hair who showed no interest before but looking not impressed was there and continued to say why I couldn't have the same coffee i told her im very lactose intolerant and can't but I do have special pill which helps me have a dairy product and that I needed to pay for cakes to eat in at other till and when I did go over the lady said your eat in cakes need to be paid at other till with the tall lady who just said so I spent 10min up n down the aisle. Then sat and waited for another lady telling me to come get my order yet we are sitting in!! all this confusion in covid times are defiantly not welcome. So Has I went at this point I just wanted the time with my friend and a morning coffee&cake. 2 workers came in (men) no mask the tall lady shouted out to them no mask u can't come in . But didn't say has they was 3steps from table to grab a seat where u dnt need one. At this point is where I tried to help and tell the boys. But they did say they was in the day before and wasn't told. It was also at this time I noticed nothing on the windows etc about the cafĕ rules. Has we left and got home I noticed I was charged to sit in which was not told and charge for a cappuccino not normal coffee. And still got a very bad customer service from the tall lady I don't have her name. Next time we will be going to 1 of 3 other places on the same rd which I've had better service off. I love birds and never came across any staff making me feel this way to the point of writing a essay for feedback. There are many new people moved to area and the girls at birds need to be open to this has we are helping eachother knowing where to go etc and word gets round fast. I would also ask birds to get on the vegan/dairy free bus and get the milk soy oats or lactose free which all last longer in fridge. Read moreVisited on a cold wet day , only 1 other customer in cafe , 5 members of staff and 1 customer in the shop being served , another gentleman arrives and is told he needs to queue in the shop if he wants take away ( 3 members of staff doing nothing but obviously not on the shop side!!) The gentleman waits and then decides to leave without a purchase and so would I have done . Lovely shop and great products but come on ...these staff need some serious customer service training. Everyone should be able and willing to serve at any given time no matter which side they are on ...wash your hands and do what you get paid for ...to put money in the till and pay your wages. Nice...
Read moreNO STARS deserved- very Disappointing - arrived with 2 toddler + newborn baby grandbabies to sit down and have a nice coffee and cake with daughter, and after sitting and getting comfortable got told dining kitchen is now closed! Like really??? No signage anywhere...in restaurant or online...still open and selling cake/food and 80% tables still eating so not sure why couldn't still buy cake and sit down and eat without table service???? This is not the first time so definitely my last try visiting here for a sit down cuppa coffee and cake!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!! - lucky the cake solution is a few doors down who were happy to...
