Keble College Chapel — Local services in Oxford

Keble College Chapel isn’t on most standard Oxford tours since it’s set a bit farther out from the main university sights—but it absolutely deserves a visit. We went specifically to attend a lecture, and had we not, we might have missed this incredible space altogether.

The chapel is stunning—easily one of the most beautiful and unique in Oxford. Its rich colors and striking architecture set it apart from the others we visited. The side chapel with The Light of the World painting by William Holman Hunt is especially moving, and the story behind how it came to be there adds even more depth.

Check visiting hours, but it’s usually free to enter. A perfect place to pause for a quiet moment of reflection and prayer. Truly...

Ao visitar a capela, vale a pena entrar na sala que fica na lateral direita, onde há o quadro que insipirou todo o projeto arquitetônico da capela (é possivel acionar a iluminação para ver melhor o quadro, mas é necessário desligá-la antes de sair).
