West Grill — Local services in Portsmouth

After recently moving to crookhorn me and my partner have start using west grill quite a lot, always been quick delivery and the delivery driver has been very friendly. TONIGHT ON THE OTHER HAND a complete jobs worth! Me and my partner had exactly 10.70 on ya in cash so ordered exactly that amount, wasn’t untill it came the delivery driver told it it was 11.20, we soon realised they add service charge which was fine our mistake so if he could just take one of the cokes back to put it it down to 11.20 as the cokes are a pond. Not being tight but didn’t have anymore cash in the house. He stood basically arguing the point like we was talking forgien! More than 3 times I heard my partner repeat the situation and by taken the can of coke of we could afford the takeaway. In the end we ended up just throwing him 10.80 as he was being so “thick”. Decent place, nice staff, nice people, worth going to but it can’t be 5 stars because there’s zero excuse for a business not taking card in the 21st century, you shouldn’t be cash only, especially since you’re cash only for illegal/criminal reasons, many places like this run on a policy ot Take only cash, Go to the cash-and-carry. Pay in cash. Declare what you want to the taxman which is illegal and dishonest! I think honesty is the best policy and you should be honest with the taxman and declare what you make and be honest, I will probably comeback since I like it here however this is honest criticism and you need to be more honest...

It's a massive shame that i am writing such a negative review because this place was superb at one time. The repulsive lemon flavouring in the chilli sauce ruins anything it touches. It's disgusting and completely overwhelms everything. I do not know how they have continued using it. There is also so much oil in the salad that it turns what should be a fresh ingredient into a slimy unpalatable mess.
