Prazeres Cosham — Restaurant in Portsmouth

I highly, highly recommend this place – I simply can’t recommend it enough. I recently discovered this delightful Portuguese deli, and it has quickly become my go-to spot for authentic Portuguese cuisine and a wide variety of delicious pastries. From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed with a warm, inviting atmosphere that instantly makes you feel at home. The selection of traditional Portuguese products is fantastic, and the quality of the food is truly exceptional.

The pastries, especially the pastel de nata, are divine – perfectly crisp, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. The other pastries and freshly baked breads are equally impressive, each one a treat.

For a small place like Cosham, I’m amazed I didn’t discover this gem sooner. Having such an authentic spot nearby feels like a real blessing. It’s the kind of deli you’d expect to find in a large city like London or, of course, in Portugal itself, where traditional and authentic flavours reign.

Absolutely thrilled to bits! I went in to buy something for a little portuguese hamper to give to a work colleague who was missing home and it was her birthday. The guy that served me was superb! I didn't have a clue what to get so he put together a bundle of gorgeous treats. My work colleague was absolutely over the moon. So a massive thanks. Very friendly staff nothing was too much trouble. Looking forward to coming back to eat in the cafe and sample traditional...

Such yummy food! The staff were brilliant - they knew what they were doing, they were polite and it was just such a treat going there. Food is value for money, but my wandering eyes always picking extra snacks from the variety of cakes and biscuits also offered. They sell coffee which looked good but i don't drink it.
