Antonio's — Local services in Preston

Now, if I want Greek food I go to a Greek restaurant, the same for Korean or Spanish etc. You know the score. So, when I want a PIZZA and I am in the ASHTON area there is no other choice as far as I am concerned: Antonio's!

I have tried a few of Antonio's pizzas and can say that they are very good and very tasty. In fact it's worth driving to if you're a mile or two away. They take telephone orders so when you arrive it's ready - never had to wait and yes it's always hot, not just warm.

The first time I tried this place I got the distinct impression they wanted you to enjoy their food. I did and always go back there.

Excellent value for money? Yes. Why? Roughly the same price as other outlets but: toppings, plenty of them. Coverage almost 100%, hardly any crust. The bread component, fresh and tasty. The staff? Welcoming and pleasant. Would I go anywhere else? No!

Even when I have left a couple of pieces of pizza in the box, when my eyes have been too big for my belly, the next day just a few minutes under the grill they are still good - and no grease in the box. Always a good sign.

In fact the base of the box you get the pizza in is NEVER soaked in grease when you've finished eating - not like you get from the myriad of outlets in Preston that seem to do everything from kebabs to chicken dinners (you know the places).

Is there a down side? Yes Antonio's has a down side. They're not open on Wednesdays! I tried Gusto Italia last night as I got the need for pizza - no comparison really but they have a restaurant option which I haven't tried. Antonio's is take out only. I don't have a problem with that though.

Would I go again? Yes, and I do.

If you like your pizzas spicy hot, ask for the Diavola extra hot... You won't be disappointed.

I generally cook my own pasta dishes so I haven't tried their pasta offerings, but if their pizzas are anything to go by then I would certainly give them a try.

Been visiting this place for a few years now. I have never had to complain about the food, the service or the atmosphere. 🍕

A family ran business local to PRESTON and NOT to be confused with the place in KIRKHAM - they are NOT the same. This Antonio's is based in Ashton-on-Ribble, Watery Lane, Preston.👍️

The pizza dough is prepared fresh every day and you can watch them roll it out and place the toppings - the pizza bases ARE NOT frozen then reheated! They will go the extra mile and mix and match your pizza (half and half).

Telephone orders are normally ready within 15 minutes for you to collect. If you're a chilli lover then flakes or fresh chillis are available to spice up the food to your liking!🌶️🌶️🌶️

They don't do deliveries but I don't have an isue with that. If you like freshly prepared food then I can...

I love and miss antonios and I'm so happy they are still doing fantastic food and wonderful service I used to go to antonios as much as possible this was 16 years ago so this is how good antonios is how often do you remember a pizza place years down the line I know your probably think it's sad but it's like a favourite restraunt you never forget we moved away from Preston and never found a pizza place as good and the people in antonios were so welcoming in fact I've decided next time I'm in Preston were heading to antonios so will be there soon looking forward to it ☺ also we have kids now who need to have the best pizza...
