Ordered sticky BBQ wings meal and a special hoggie wrap tonight. We've ordered this lots of times before along with other food as we've been a customer for over 8 years and not once ever needed to write a negative review.
When the food got delivered the young lad asked for an extra £1.20 as we upgraded to curly fries. When we've ordered this in the past the owners told me to leave a note on the order and not once got charge extra for this. I rummaged around for change and told the lad I was not happy about this and that the website needs updating. As I were cutting the hoggie wrap in half we received a phone call from the new owner of Zorbas telling me that the website does prompt you if you want an upgrade. After the phone call I continued to plate up the food and what a suprise I got. So not only do they charge extra to upgrade to curly fries but they have actually put them in a smaller container. I wouldn't have minded paying the extra as I understand there's probably a price difference for them to buy, but they didn't even fill the small container up, they were 1 big curly then the rest were scraps. Even the curly fries with the wings were solid and chewy to eat too.
Special hoggie Wrap- The Donner were nice but the chicken were on the dry side with very little salad. Overall it was ok, not the best but still eat it.
Sticky BBQ wing meal- Wings/drumsticks were nice. The curlys were solid and dry, I were lucky to get some BBQ sauce on them as it added a little moisture.
Use to love ordering from here but I'm in 2 minds wether I'll be ordering as regular as I use to. After we had eaten we checked on Food hub where we ordered from and they were no option to upgrade to curlies. They need to be more consistent throughout all...
Read moreUsed to be great before new management took over it. Gone really down and last management always new value for money Chips was always spot on now it's a hit and miss and get it in a smaller box pizza is always thin even thought I ask for deep pan really tight with the toppings never like before and I have order for years. Never give you your free garlic bread or drinks even though it states spend £20 and I never received either. They always put food with cold drink so foods always cold there kebab is never hot. Ask for salad you never get cucumbers or tomatoes just cabbage carrot and onion which is not a salad in my eyes. I really would avoid you get more for you money els where these are kiddies potions especially when your feeding a family and end up with a box of chips for one not one #BRINGBACKZORBASOLDMANAGENT also got rid of all the previous drivers especially the women with blonde hair very polite always on time and was alsohot she was highly re very friendly and polite and was a great chat. Unlike the other female that's there bangs on the door like a copper and notice when she fetches food it's cold what the hell is she doing parting with it very disappointed gone down hill since new management took over...
Read moreI used to order the chicken wings kebab years ago. It came with lovely salad tomatoes peppers and chillies lots of quality fresh salad. It also came with about 10 wings and the sauce was provided in a separate container to dip into. Was plenty of good quality food and very enjoyable. Since covid and all businesses are still trying to recover by cutting quality and of course quantity. It would seem the food and take away sectors are really changing. I ordered the same dish tonight and sadly reduced chicken wings, the salad was 10% compared to what it used to be and warm as not in a separate container. The sauce was poured on to save money rather than supplying in separate container. So much reduction in quantity, including packaging. But the price is 30-40% more! So disappointing that all the eating out places is going this way. People are now deciding to not bother, and just making food and eating in. Such a shame. Can’t we go back to quality and quantity as before? And just increase the pricing to reflect inflation etc? I really want to continue eating out and...
