We attended a show here so cannot comment about the cinema showings. We also did not eat here. Our show was upstairs in their Stowford Hall Room 1. We arrived early so had pre-show drinks in the small bar area. There are around 10 tables & chairs inside the bar room plus a small, comfy couch. They served alcoholic, soft & hot drinks plus crisps etc. The venue hall itself was very small. There was no stage, the comedian is on the floor whilst you sit in rows of bleacher seating that have been pulled out & assembled. Our show was around 2 hours long & these seats were hard & uncomfortable. Also, there was zero leg room. So, my top tips are to bring seat cushions with you & if you're tall, sit in the front row. With regard to parking, there is a private car park just in front of the venue. The first 2 hours are free but then you have to buy top-up time via your mobile (not Ring-go.) Charges apply (& monitoring of tickets) 24 hours a day. Alternatively, follow signs to the leisure centre & park there (currently...
Read moreI had my Retirement party at the Watermark in early August. There were around 120 people present and we had a welcome glass of Prosecco, then talked, danced and drank the night away. The Watermark staff, especially, Michala the manager, were so friendly and helpful right from when the venue was first booked. We had the whole of the first floor with a disco and tables in the Stowford Hall and the Beeson Suite where people could sit and talk and watch a slide show. The food was served in the gallery corridor. Michala served the complimentary Prosecco and her daughter manned the bar and both were on hand all evening in case we needed anything, they were awesome. We were allowed to bring our own food and that helped to keep costs down. We were encouraged to decorate the venue with balloons, banners, bunting and we provided flowers for all the tables, so the atmosphere was great. We had a fantastic evening and so did all our guests. I would definitely recommend the Watermark as a venue for your...
Read moreCinema has a good size screen and a good sound system , staff very friendly and helpful. The seating is very poor, leg room is very tight giving cramps to being forced into a poor seating position. As I do need to have some leg room I will not plan to revisit the theatre. Oh dear, poor reply from the cinema advertising of some sofas which were not available due to popularity, wonder if itâs the uncomfortable seating which makes the few sofas popular. Having worked in a multi purpose venue offering cinema with a seating rake i understand the limits for resolving this and ensuring the seating is suitable for all persons with different abilities and...
