Roll Model Arcade — Local services in St Helens

My journey began this time last year to look for a Retro Gaming Machine I looked at various sites until I came across Roll Model Arcade and after much deliberation and comparing what each company had to offer especially how competitive the pricing of the machines were I decided to go with Roll Model Arcade and my judgement paid off. I began my journey firstly by contacting John who along with his wife runs this family business...I spoke to him about what I wanted from the machine and he guided and advised me without hard sell and like other companies may do he didn't try to sell me something I didn't want. I also found out that you can have your own personalised artwork added to the game console which is an additional cost which I did and was over the moon how it turned out. From ordering it in February and it being delivered in March I received my machine within the timespan John quoted and he made the drive of over 200 miles and delivered it to me and not by some third party courier service. On arrival the machine was completely wrapped in bubble wrap and installed to where i wanted it within minutes. I will say when starting the machine one of the joysticks wasn't working (I ordered a 2 player machine and didn't stop we from playing it) which was prior to John packaging it and delivery and I also noticed a slight change in the artwork to what I had approved prior to the machine being built however within 2 days John sent me 2 new joysticks which I replaced myself which was a doddle and received a new piece of artwork which John who personally drove over 200 miles to come and replace so now my machine was complete and it is absolutely wonderful and I must say it brings back so many happy memories playing these retro games and some modern games too that my 2 sons played when they were young. I will apologise to John for the delay in sending this review time has flown and I will not hesitate in recommending Roll Model Arcade and John to anyone and if you are looking for a retro gaming machine have a look what is around and you will too be happy with choosing Roll...

After looking around for a while and contacting multiple businesses, I chose Roll Model arcade due to the very open and honest nature of their customer service. The responses have been lighting fast, and very informative and helpful. Plus they operate an interactive showroom and arcade!

After some helpful advice, I decided on the Terminator 24” cabinet with the upgraded screen and system. The customisation availability is endless, and an upgrade path is there if needed, not to mention the youtube and social media which has useful tips on replacing parts, and demonstrates their knowledge and passion for arcades!

Delivery was a breeze, really straightforward, and delivered personally (not a courier) which was a nice touch. This also included a demonstration and the packaging was taken away too! Brilliant!

The arcade itself is very well built, the storage compartment at the bottom is really useful, and not something you see from a lot of competitors. The joystick and buttons work perfectly, and the artwork finish is top-notch. This has been an amazing addition to our house, everyone wants a go!

If you are in the market for an arcade cabinet, then i cannot recommend roll model arcade enough! Thanks for a great customer...

Michele (London) Top-notch - Highly recommended if you are in the market for an arcade machine. Bought one of their lovely arcades this summer and have to say I am absolutely delighted with it. There are more games that I ever thought existed and can finally re-play those famous titles I used to play in the 90s. it’s such a great feeling that brings back lots of memories. Also my 5yo loves it and I am sure he will appreciate it even more as he grows up. It’s nice we can "buddy up" by playing games as Ninja Turtles and Metal Slug together. The cabinet itself looks stunning and I really love to own one – I wish my wife allowed me to display it in the living room (so I could play more often too!) The graphic is great - except for the more advanced games that were supposed to be for much more powerful consoles, of course – fair enough. The bigger screen makes the experience even more enjoyable, and the storage space underneath is a great addition. I really wish I had more time to play! Last but not least, the service received has been absolutely spotless. John is extremely kind and passionate about his job and always ready to go over and beyond to accommodate his customers needs.
