I have climbed here much more over the last year and know their walls intimately. This is a great place to climb in Hampshire with amazing staff (shout-out to Geoff, Tim and Nicks).
The cafe is not to be ignored, the coffee is great and the food even better! Don't overlook the range of ice cream, I for one recommend the vegan chocolate as its made with coconut milk and chocolate and coconut ice cream tastes amazing!
Of you are just passing by then they have a really good bouldering wall and fingerboard setup. Or just grab a harness and jump on the autobelays!
Kids are welcome, they only allow over 5s on the autobelays but under 5s can climb on the bouldering wall if their parent does some extra paperwork and an extra safety briefing.
Parties are a highlight of the weekends, they offer great party packages at decent prices and will even do the food for you!
All in all a great environment...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreSuch an amazing climbing gym. Staff are so friendly and very knowledgeable. Really relaxed atmosphere and our children (6 & 4) absolutely love going. We take colouring books for them and they switch between climbing and colouring at their on pace. A really good amount of auto belays meaning one of can climb while the other watches the children or we can all boulder together.
The routes are fantastic and offer something for everyone. Boulders are interesting and enjoyable to do. Auto belays and top rope climbing is also very good. Due to low ceiling some holds seem a little bit harder than the grade they are, so if coming from another gym you might lose a grade.
Rental gear is FREE and pretty good. Food from the cafe is very good for a gym and the coffee is great.
Absolutely love this place, and will always recommend to anyone, beginner or...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI took my five year old to here to do some climbing on the auto-belay walls. We were greeted and in a climbing harnesses in no time at all. We'd been to Rock-Up before, but this place has a much more professional feel to it - it's more spacious, the staff are more interested, it's bigger, and the walls are proper climbing walls. My little one started to get nervous when he was halfway up the walls, but one of the staff members spotted this and gave him a few confidence boosting tips. In no time at all he was zipping up the walls to the top and descending back down with a huge grin. He was also fascinated watching the more regular climbers practicing their moves. The cafe here has a good selection of drinks, coffees, cakes, and more. There is a relaxed atmosphere here, which makes it...
