Placed an order this evening on recipes web site at 17.57 it then came up with your order will be delivered in 50 minutes.At 19.30 it still hadnt arrived so I phoned only to be told the order had been accepted but the printer hadn't printed out a slip Iwas then told they could get it to us in 30 minutes(20.00).At 20.45 it still hadn't arrived so I phoned again to be told it had left them and the driver should be with me in 5 minutes I explained I wasn't happy and was told the boss would phone me back in 5 minutes and because of the problem they had put a few more things in with the order.The food finally turned up at 21.15 cold the extras they had put in were 2 pots of chutney ! On the menu it says free item with orders over £15 so asked for Bombay potatoes never got it,also stated no coriander my meal was covered in it.Needless to say I will never be using this take -away again I am also still waiting for my phone call from the manager!!! We have used Recipe takeaway for at least 2 years now and have never had any reason for complaint until tonight!! We ordered a meal for two of us (not a set meal) £40 maybe cos we always put some in the freezer ,it's miles better out of there but when it came 25 minutes late there was only half of it there.we immediately phoned up to tell them the situation and surprise! It was a English speaking lady on the other end making the most profound apologies obviously for her colleague who took the original order, they offered to replace the missing orders but a 45 minute wait , but the worst thing was we started eating what we had and it was awful I asked if it was a change of chef she said no. Have eaten from here lots of times find the set meal currently £14.95 for 2 people to be superb value & the quality has been excellent, best rice ever & good portions probably enough for 3 not too greedy folk. Also as an extra saag paneer side dish great value @£2.80 & tarka daal is sublime if you like extra garlicky thick consistency Have had a couple of issues regards late delivery & anticipate a one hour minimum delivery window.
