We canāt rate Minikin highly enough! If we could give more stars we would! We have been going to Minikin with our children for many years - since they first opened their doors - and have painted many many pots, decopatched (when that was a new thing) had our own Minikin Birthday parties, and attended many others hosted by friends, which were wonderful and have given us memories to cherish forever. We have also attended various classes and workshops there and always relish the learning opportunities which this creative independent business unselfishly offers to the local community. We have honestly have never had a bad experience, a bad conversation (or a bad cup of coffee or slice of cake,) and every visit is a genuine pleasure which is met with a great deal of enthusiasm on the part of our two children. Claire and her wonderful staff are absolutely devoted to providing a first class experience to all who visit and couldnāt be more down to earth, friendly and welcoming. They are also enormously patient and inclusive and interact sensitively, kindly and with genuine care towards kids and adults with a range of physical, psychological, social and emotional challenges. We always feel safe, secure and weāll looked after - a real āhome from homeā environment and Claire, Monica and Lisa are like extended family. A visit to Minikin is like a positive therapy session where the children feel inspired, creative and supported. My 9 year old daughter asked everyone for Minikin Gift Vouchers for her birthday last May, so she could visit even more frequently! I have previously left 5āļø Reviews on Facebook and made many many āword of mouthā recommendations for this business over the years; but as I am relatively new to the Google platform, I have today been prompted to review on this platform after having seen an extremely strange, unbalanced, poorly articulated and rather difficult to comprehend negative review from someone who clearly has an entirely different world view to myself, my family and many many friends and acquaintances within the local community. Please do not let this very strange review put you off visiting, and I would encourage anyone who has not already been, to visit and make their...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI cannot recommend Minikin enough. Claire and the other staff are absolutely incredible and work so hard to ensure their customers have an enjoyable experience whilst getting the end product they want. As well as popping in for day to day painting, I have attended many organised events here, including the evening painting sessions for adults to enjoy with friends and the paint with Santa. The paint with Santa, which we did last year, was incredible and so special for my son and his two cousins. Seeing their faces throughout was so wonderful, it was such a magical experience for them. Every moment was planned to perfection and with the little ones in mind to make it so special. More recently, I booked in to get a newborn clay hand and foot print, hoping to get this done when my baby was 5 days old (matching first born prints done on day 5). Even though day 5 fell on a day the shop was closed, Claire made sure we didnāt miss this special day and went out of her way to get it done for us. One of the many reasons Minikin is so amazing, thank you for all your...
