Travelling up from London to Cheshire, a lunch stop was definitely needed, and Harrison's Fish & Chips turned out to be an excellent choice. The Cornish haddock was beautifully thick and cooked to perfection, encased in a light, crispy batter that delivered on both texture and flavour. The large Cornish cod was equally impressive in size and enjoyed the same wonderfully crisp and tasty batter. The chips were hearty, thick-cut, and cooked just right, while the mushy peas were exactly to my taste – thick with a subtle, well-balanced flavour. The tartare sauce was a real highlight, ranking among the best I have ever had. The shop itself was spotless and well-maintained, with a clear sense of pride shown by the friendly and welcoming staff. The packaging was thoughtfully designed and environmentally friendly, which is always good to see. Conveniently, there was ample parking available both at the front and rear of the shop, making the visit all the more pleasant. January 2024 Review - the newest: Amazing place. Chips sometimes left in the heat bin which makes them drier, crisper, yet hot. Not great. Ryan and his staff are always helpful and will cater to your needs. First review: THIS is how Fish & Chips should be made. Made to order, hot fresh and satisfyingly crisp. The Fish is the real deal! Not the unnamed horrid stuff masquerading as cod or haddock. Curry sauce is okay, not as good as a real katsu, the likes of which I've found in some London chippies. Many chip shops should intern here to learn how REAL chips with all the accompaniments are made! Thank you for staying true to your promise, Harrisons, and always delivering service with a smile!

Tried this for the first time yesterday...my husband suggested it....OMG I fell in love! It was so good. High quality fish (we had cod) with superb, thin, crispy batter. The chips - OMG - we got tonnes! We ordered large...probably could be shared among 4 people. The mushy pea...emmm it was rich and not watery. The staff was very pleasant. We went there at 6pm after a long day of meetings. We were lucky the service was quick. We placed the order and went to the coop to buy a few things. When we came back, the food was waiting. Highly recommend Harrison. Have not had this good of F&C for a long time. Thank you so much. Will definitely come again.

I've eaten from here a number of times and the fish and chips are always great. Traditional chip shop sides all available and yummy: we usually get mushy peas and curry sauce. I'm not such a fan of saveloy but sausages, pies, burgers etc all available too.

For two adults, we find two small/regular pieces of fish and one large chips, with a couple of sides, is plenty of food even when we're really starving after a day out walking.

I also enjoyed their pizza a lot, although my wife wasn't such a fan (apparently reminded her of school dinner pizza?). It's satisfyingly-greasy takeaway pizza, more American style than Italian - a matter of personal taste I suppose.

One thing to note, service here is relatively slow for a chip shop: expect to wait 10 mins, maybe a little more, for a simple order of fish and chips for 1 or 2 people. It is worth the wait, and you can order ahead via...
