Senedd-dŷ Owain Glyndŵr — Local services in Wales

This was once purely a heritage site, with a quite hefty admission fee. It has now become a bookshop, cafe, and community hub - and is all the better for it. The bookshop is an excellent one, focusing on Wales, Welsh history, and Welsh culture. You can still see all the features of the parliament house and access audio guides and interpretation pieces about Owain Glyndwr, although you might find that you can't access the upper rooms if a workshop is going on. The original features of the parliament house are beautifully preserved as are a number of later rooms in the building, much of which is a large eighteenth century gentleman's townhouse, where there is a cafe, toilets, activity spaces, and a community bike shop. The bookshop owner doesn't mind you going into the parliament house proper just to look at...

An interesting place to visit for free. The audio information was good - we listened to the first bit in the building itself (10 minutes) and the others in the car later (20 minutes).
