I am writing to share my disappointing experience at the Watford store.
My daughter and I visited the store because she wanted to get a nose piercing, and since her birthday is coming up, I decided to give it to her as an early birthday gift. We entered the store and headed to the piercing section. The staff member there asked for her age, and when I said 13, she immediately informed us that it was not possible to get the piercing done because she was under 14.
I explained that the website did not specify this age restriction, but she insisted that it didn't matter and that their policy required the customer to be at least 14 years old. We left the store to check other places and found that many others allowed piercings for those aged 13 and up with parental presence.
I returned to the Superdrug website and carefully read the piercing policy, which stated, "Our piercing service is available to anyone over the age of 3 years old. Any child between 3 and 16 (18 in some areas) will need to be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and identification may be requested."
We decided to return to the Watford store and speak directly with the manager. I explained the situation, and we were taken to the piercing staff member, Payal. She rudely stated at the Manager that we should have gone directly to her instead of speaking to the her first. We asked to see where the 14-year age restriction was written, but nothing was documented. Payal continued to claim she couldn't do the piercing based on information from her WhatsApp group. The manager remained silent even when I showed her the website policy.
Another colleague, Madaline, chimed in, saying it wasn't clear which piercing the policy referred to. I pointed out that since they only offered ear and nose piercings, the policy should apply to both. Despite this, they refused to do the piercing and suggested we visit another Superdrug store.
To add to our frustration, my daughter would be turning 14 in just two weeks. I am utterly disgusted by how they refused to do the piercing. My daughter was very disappointed because I had promised her this gift today. I would have understood if this age restriction was clearly stated in their policy or on their website, but it was not mentioned anywhere.
They cannot decide policies based on their mood for the day, especially when other younger girls have had their nose piercings done. Needless to say, I will not be returning to that store, and I am very unlikely to visit any other Superdrug location. This is not the first time we've encountered...
Read moreI recently accompanied my daughter to Superdrug for her walk-in flu shot, and I must say that our experience was incredibly positive. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere, setting the tone for a pleasant visit.
Upon entering the store, we were promptly assisted by a friendly staff member who guided us to the pharmacy section where the flu shots were being administered. The staff member was knowledgeable and took the time to address any concerns we had, which immediately put us at ease.
The process of getting the flu shot was efficient and well-organized. Despite it being a walk-in appointment, we did not have to wait long, and the pharmacist who administered the vaccine was professional and friendly. My daughter, who was initially a bit apprehensive, felt comfortable throughout the entire process, thanks to the pharmacist's reassuring demeanor.
Furthermore, the cleanliness and organization of the store were impressive. The pharmacy area was neat and tidy, and we felt confident in the hygiene standards maintained, especially considering the ongoing concerns surrounding public health.
The overall customer service at Superdrug was exceptional. The staff members we encountered were attentive, approachable, and genuinely focused on ensuring a positive experience for their customers. Their willingness to go the extra mile did not go unnoticed and certainly contributed to our satisfaction with the visit.
In conclusion, our trip to Superdrug for my daughter's walk-in flu shot was a resoundingly positive experience. The welcoming atmosphere, efficient service, knowledgeable and friendly staff, and emphasis on cleanliness all contributed to a visit that exceeded our expectations. Superdrug's commitment to providing excellent customer service and healthcare services is commendable, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to others seeking a...

I had a truly awful experience at the Superdrug store in Watford due to an extremely unprofessional staff member named Jude. I went in to return some unopened perfumes, all within the return period and with my receipt—there should have been no issue. However, as soon as Jude saw me, the first thing he said was, “You made a complaint about me before!”—completely unprovoked and unprofessional.
I ignored the unnecessary comment and politely requested my refund, but he refused to even attempt the return. Instead, he told me I was “wasting people’s time” by returning items and even claimed that he could ban me from the store because he was the “boss” of Superdrug Watford. He also had the audacity to tell me I wasn’t a “good customer” and that if I returned another item, he had the authority to stop me from shopping there again. When I rightfully pushed back and told him that was not within his rights, he sarcastically asked me what I do for a living—as if that had anything to do with the situation!
I was absolutely shocked at how I was treated. I had to travel to another Superdrug store, where the staff were lovely and processed my refund without any issues at all. This just proved that Jude was acting unreasonably and was on a power trip.
No customer should be treated this way. Jude is rude, condescending, and completely unfit for customer service. If Superdrug values its customers, they need to seriously reconsider allowing someone like this to represent their brand.
Avoid this store unless you want to be treated with disrespect...
