CINDERELLA PANTO WITH A 90s TWIST
Recently attended the enchanting Cinderella Panto at Watford Palace Theatre with my children, and it was an absolute delight! The infusion of a 90s theme added an extra layer of charm to the entire experience. The laughter-inducing moments had my children in stitches, making it a perfect festive treat for both young and old.
Despite being in the circle, almost in the back row, our seats provided fantastic views of the entire production. Watford Palace Theatre, hosting Pantos since 1908, truly knows how to create a magical Christmas tradition. The historic venue adds a unique touch to the Christmas season, making it a must-visit for families and theatre enthusiasts alike. The attention to detail in the production, from costumes to set design, was commendable and added to the overall immersive experience.
Running from November 30 to December 31, 2023, this Panto is a splendid way to celebrate the festive season. I highly recommend securing your tickets early to ensure you don't miss out on this unforgettable performance. Supporting local theatre has never been more important, and Watford Palace Theatre provides an excellent opportunity to do so while enjoying a festive and heartwarming show.

Read moreWatford Palace Theatre is always a feel-good, welcoming place to visit, especially when it's dark/rainy weather! We love sitting in the traditional auditorium and the ushers and other staff are friendly. They had an imaginative 'Magic of Cassiobury Park' exhibition/display upstairs , with art, crafts and poetry (though I think it's the last day today).
This week we saw the 'Our House' musical, which was such high quality, despite Cassio Productions officially being an 'amateur' theatre group. To us, it seemed far superior to some 'professional' performances, and it was performed with such gusto and (at times) emotion, great visuals, fantastic choreography..... We saw it three times! The theatre puts on events for a variety of tastes/audiences/ages and some of them (like this one) are outstanding. We are so lucky to have...
Read moreAn incredibly intimate, yet spacious Theatre in the Watford town centre area. This theatre has a drinks and snacks options available, with a casual seating area. The bathroom facilities is a bit cramped and small but very clean. Staff interaction was to a minimum but very courteous. There is a good range of shows all throughout the year, for all ages. Inside was very ornate and seats were comfortable and spacious, especially for a tall person like me.
We came for the first time in May ‘23 for the performance of ‘Happy Birthday Sunita’. The show was very good; it was delightfully funny and highlighted many interesting cultural aspects of the British Indian diaspora.
I would definitely be interested in going again and will look out for...
