January 28 2025 10:51 am I first visited Sprouts at its Greensboro NC location (store #544) in 2019. I found that it was a great alternative from Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s at reasonable prices more grain free options and more in the ways of health and vitamin supplements. The employees were helpful and we talked about different locations of where you were all located. Very helpful and knowledgeable. I had just had the pleasure of visiting Sprouts in San Diego (store #226)just last week. So, to my delight, I was happy that (store #947) was a 30 min drive from my home. The grain free nachos are so delicious, I found the pasta free noodles I typically buy in NYC and so forth. Now granted, I don’t look like your typical shopper in a health food store. What I put into my body is important to me and will go to the best places. Also it was my first time being there, so I get it. I’m a new person walking through your store…. I proceeded to the self check out and pulled out my reusable tote and began scanning. Now, I noticed the tall black woman approaching an older employee with a lil southern accent. I continue to scan, eggs, hummus…..ahi tuna, ahi tuna….
“You have ahi tuna scanned twice..” “Yes, I know” “Just making sure you ..” “I know what I bought”
I continue to scan, taking out my wallet, and proceeded to pay for my groceries. With everything paid, I grabbed the basket used and placed it back on the stack,. Now before I left I heard him say to the person next to me - have a good day,
So I was aware of that too.
“Have a good rest of your day” “You too” Now ,as I placed the basket I used back in its stack. I noticed the black woman that approached the co-worker earlier looking at me, across the entrance/exit , as I looked at her, walking out.
I understand why you feel the need to but will never understand why security and employees need to insert themselves, especially when the shoppers your profile have no reason to steal anything, but I guess that how society is now towards people like myself. There was a vibe as if I couldn’t or shouldn’t be able to afford two packages of ahi tuna steaks at 9.99, as if it was a mistake. I don’t think I’m in the wrong on this observation because I see the 4.1 rating you have and the other reviews that are on here describing similar experiences...
Read moreFor me to actually take time out of my day to leave a review means it’s either really awful or absolutely amazing. If I leave a bad review it’s because of genuine concern for other people and I have really put a lot of thought into it before leaving one unlike the bogus reviews that I have read for this store. There is not one accurate bad review yet. “It’s too expensive” every thing is expensive these days but I will tell you I get the most bang for my buck at this store and the quality is amazing. Someone complaining about bread that got moldy quick but for all we know it was left in the sun. I can also assure you that the store does not smell like fish. And as much as I would love to debunk the rest of the bad reviews I really want to get to talking about how I will never shop at another grocery store as long as sprouts is here. And it upsets me to see so many really good businesses close down because of people having zero patience and leaving a negative review for such stupid things. In today’s world, reviews can really make or break a place. My number one favorite thing about this store for me is that they carry a lot of different things I don’t see in other grocery stores and everything is always super fresh. I especially love their variety on coffee. I am also drawn to this store because of all the healthy options they carry for food and hygiene products. My other favorite thing about this place is the customer service. It is so hard to find people who actually care about their job and I have had nothing but good experiences with the employees. They are always super friendly and polite and I always see them smiling. It’s a great vibe. My only one, little, itty bitty, tiny complaint that’s not even a complaint and I’m only mentioning to keep the review unbiased and honest is that a couple times the sale prices were not up to date when scanned but I noticed it and they took care of it right away and seemed very happy to do so without giving me a hard time like other places where employees get annoyed and roll their eyes. And I’m not mad about it either. It’s literally a brand new place, these things happen. People need to stop being so harsh and leaving poor reviews based on one minor inconvenience because they are impatient and entitled. Sprouts is awesome and I’m not shopping...
Read moreWhen sprouts first opened, I questioned it's location being that all the other higher end grocery stores were all on the other other side of. Route 35. However I also understand that there is a need for a nice grocery store in this side of 35. I have now been going to Sprouts regularly and I love finding the amazing promotional deals that they have on fresh produce, dairy, meats and seafood. Ever since I started shopping here, I base my weekly meals based on whatever is on promotion at Sprouts and my grocery bill has dropped significantly compared to my many years of shopping at Costco, Wholefoods and Trader Joes. (Today I found bananas for 9cents a lb, JUMBO avocados for 98 cents at Sprouts!) I also really love the variety of produce I can get at Sprouts without having to run to the Asian Market for napa cabbage, bok choy. When in season, Sprouts also carries some exotic fruits that you can sometimes only find at places like Hmart (like Jack fruit) also for a fair price. If you are pretty creative in the kitchen, and like to eat natural, whole foods Sprouts is a very budget friendly option provided you shop their manager deals, which changes weekly - maybe even daily? Every so often the store will also have coupons on the receipt for more savings for the next visit. Spouts has become my go to grocery store for a few months now and I really hope they remain in business for many years to come. Pro tip: remember to download the sprouts app for more savings! I also want to mention that many of the team members at sprouts are very nice! Once you go there often enough, it's nice to see familiar, friendly faces. I used to shop at Whole Foods in Middletown on a weekly basis and I would see the same employees every week- but they were never as nice or friendly as the...
