Addison Park Venue Review
Had my wedding at The Addison on 3/20/22! My day had two weddings so this is my review based off that. If you were lucky enough to be the only wedding you’re day may have been wonderful. Mine did not go too well.
Negatives -no rehearsal, done day of so gives you less time on your wedding day 2 weddings gives you many restrictions, time limit for photos and where you can take photos. I couldn’t go on the other side for the garden because of the other bride. Staircase photos was limited to 30 minutes. You work around their schedule. They don’t have that many places to take photos either They don’t provide anything, no uplighting or decor, nothing but table clothes & place cards. Doesn’t listen to what you want and are not accommodating. I made a schedule and nothing was followed. I told them I wanted my ceremony to start at 4:45, they started at exactly 4:30 and guest were still in the lobby and shuttle just arrived. If they followed my schedule everyone would have been seated but I had about 20 people standing in the back of my ceremony. They rushed me because they had another wedding. Have you ever been to a wedding whose ceremony started on the dot? NO, but the Addison will force you to. They didn’t even look at my ceremony room. First two rows were empty and they couldn’t have told family to sit in the reserved seats or asked me why anyone wasn’t sitting there? What was promised was not delivered. We had items on the menu that guest never seen. Instead of plated dinners, we had a buffet station/ extended cocktail set up and food was suppose to be out for 2 hours, it was left out for barely an hour and not replenished. Cocktail hour with cheese, meats, hot d’Oeuvre we were told would be an hour but we got maybe 30 minutes worth of food. My mother in law had to ask for lamb chops. We had guest going into our bridal suite for food because there was no food during cocktail. They didn’t order enough food and did not replenish the cold items. It was embarrassing. My schedule wasn’t followed so things I wanted to capture wasn’t because photographers left already. Don’t bother with a timeline for them, they don’t look at it and they will do what they want.
Positives -Nice staff and great customer service. I worked with Kim and Kayla and they were wonderful. Guest said bartenders were amazing as well. -Beautiful and clean venue. Really is a gorgeous venue that people will awe over. Very glam and classy venue with no carpets!! -Food is very good for wedding food. I am a foodie and I’m never impressed by wedding food but their food is above average!! -Desserts were delicious! We did a viennese hour & it was worth the extra money! Wish they would’ve replenish it but they didn’t.
I still had a great day. I just don’t like businesses that say one thing and don’t deliver on what they promise. If items are on the menu and not there that’s shady business. If you tell me when I booked that items are unlimited for a certain amount of time and that’s a complete lie, it’s unacceptable. They are still making excuses after I brought all of my disappointment points up to them as is if I am lying. They said you don’t want to overfed your guest anyways so they can dance. Well I do want what I paid for!
If you are debating, I would find another venue. I would take the lost on the deposit honestly. The bad outweighed the positives. There are other venues that are less restrictive, more reasonably priced, have one wedding at a time, and actually give you the food items on the menu and amount of food you paid for. I feel so cheated and my blood was boiling over all the lies I was told! If you book, be warned they are not accommodating to your schedule or what you want. You will work around what’s best for them. If there is another wedding on your...
Read moreAnthony the owner is AMAZING!!! I looked at 16 venues. He was was my last venue. I was miserable before we went to meet him because I got engaged during the lockdown and all the venues wanted ridiculous amounts of money just to book my date. He was the only person I met that I felt was a genuine person and meant to be in this business. He made it possible to have the wedding of dreams. I not only fell in love with his personality but also with the venue. It is beautiful!!! It is kept in pristine condition always.
Leading up to the wedding all my questions were answered asap. Every time we met with him, I never felt rushed, I was allowed to look around the venue and he gave guidance on what he felt were the best options for what I wanted. He recommend my florist and she was wonderful!!
The day of my wedding was fantastic. I couldn't have asked for more. The food was phenomenal!!! The cocktail hour was insane so many options. The food at my reception was to die for. I have guests trying to duplicate the stuffed pork chop, which was a recommendation Anthony made to put on the menu of the choices. Dessert was just like the cocktail hour!! All the food was to die for!!!
The bridal attendant Kim was so down to earth!!! She was great!! She was on top of my every need!!! I have a slit case of cerebral palsy my feet were swollen, she made it so that everything I needed was brought to me and was quiet about it!!! I'm so happy she was by my side all day!
Anthony, the maître d' was just as fantastic... my ceremony and reception were perfect. He was also down to earth. He made everything just flow. He made sure nothing got on my dress when it came to eating !!! I never had an empty glass or plate. I was so worried about the rehearsal on the day of the wedding, but he made it such an easy task !!!
Joe the captain was a joy to deal with !!!!! Everything was set up flawlessly. I was to approve everything before my guest came in case of any changes. Everything was done with such etiquette. The bartenders were great!!
My wedding cake was great !!! Anthony even suggested idea's for that as well.
My day was beautiful and honestly perfect !!! Anthony's team is just like him. They treated my wedding like it was theirs. They were on top everything I needed personally as well as my guests needs. I can't say enough positive things about...
Read moreJust had my wedding at Addison Park. 7/2/22. Let me start off by saying it was such a long time coming. We were originally 5/24/20, so due to Covid we had multiple postponements. Anthony & Irene were the easiest, most accommodating, and helpful people to deal with while going through a rollercoaster of shutdowns & restrictions. They knew I wanted to be able to have the proper wedding, with all our loved ones able to celebrate. They allowed us to postpone a year & change out, with no questions asked. I couldn’t be more thankful to have worked with them over the years.
Now, our wedding day. Oh my God. I cannot even believe how amazing everything truly was. The food.. THE FOOD.. everything I ate (I made sure I enjoyed my cocktail hour) was SPECTACULAR. I never had to go looking for anything, there was always an Abundance of food everywhere I looked, plus our bridal assistant which I’ll get more into soon, even made us plates for us to sit down and enjoy!
Now, I know everyone probably thinks, “oh she’s the bride of course she’s going to love her food”.. no.. everyone I spoke to RAVED about the food. They couldn’t get over the elaborate spread and the taste to go along with it. I am still getting messages from family & friends stating how spectacular of a wedding our wedding was and how they have never been to one like it.
The hospitality! Wow, Sal & Kayla were absolutely amazing! Sal was my Maitre D’ who constantly made sure me and my husband had a drink and kept making sure we were ok, such a wonderful man!
Kayla was my bridal assistant. I cannot rave enough of how amazing she was! She helped me bustle my dress, took pictures of my dress that I wasn’t happy about, was there for me when I was having a breakdown about my stupid dress, took behind the scenes pictures & videos of us, and just really made me feel like a true princess. She brought us the cocktail hour foods as you read - but she also brought us a huge spread of all the deserts from the Viennese table, because we were too busy dancing- A real sweetheart!
I can’t thank everyone at Addison Park enough for one of the best days of my life! If your in the process of looking for a fairytale wedding venue it’s Addison Park. Top notch food & service. My only complaint is I wish I could do it...
