I recently purchased four exterior doors from Home Surplus, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the quality and overall experience. Even my contractor—who isn’t from the area—commented on how well-made and beautifully finished the doors are. Originally, I planned on getting white doors, but due to limited stock, I opted for the espresso finish. I’m so glad I did—it complements my home’s exterior perfectly and was clearly the right choice.

The staff at Home Surplus were incredibly accommodating. Both Shannon and Sarah provided outstanding customer service. They were patient with all my questions as I tried to understand the various door parts and options. Shannon was especially attentive and personable, which made the purchase process so much easier because she was my main contact person throughout the whole experience—after all, it’s not every day an average homeowner buys four doors at once!

The installation went smoothly, and beyond the beautiful look, I noticed a huge difference in sound insulation. I live on a busy street, and the outside traffic noise has been drastically reduced—something even my contractor pointed out after the first door had been installed. In addition to the natural sound insulation, the full-light glass panels provide plenty of natural light, while the frosted finish maintains privacy. The design also highlights the elegant scrollwork of the wrought iron, adding even more charm to the doors.

Honestly the worst company we've ever worked with. Started out great when we were getting all the information together for our kitchen cabinets, then the cabinets came in and they were the wrong color. We decided to keep them as it had already been about a month we were without a kitchen. On top of that, one of our cabinets was missing a back piece, our trash can pull-out that we added and had requested was the wrong size and we had been given the wrong sink cabinet. We contacted the store and stated we would like a refund of some sort for the incorrect color of our cabinets, we were told they would do everything they could to get us a refund. First refund amount was somewhere in the $400s, we stayed we would like at least $1000 refund for the inconvenience. We were told that would be no problem. When we went to the store to pick up the missing back piece for one of our cabinets, we were told we would be getting back a refund in the $900s, which we agreed to and we're okay with. Well it's been months now no refund, no trash can pull-out in the right size for our cabinet. And we've gotten no where with responses from anyone here. We were told the manager, Randy, would talk to the woman who designs everything. And then never heard back from the manager. Seriously will never recommend this company to anyone. Never again will I waste my time and money here! After having placed a kitchen cabinet order, subsequently waiting over 4 weeks, having to call on a daily basis and trying to get an update during week 5 without getting one response or call back and receiving the run around with excuses that no one knows the status of the order with every call. It's amazing they are in business. After over two weeks of trying to get an answer out of the folks at HomeSurplus I actually had to call the manufacturer directly and request that they call their contact at HomeSurplus to respond to me. Fancy that it's the only way to obtain a response! Their order was going to take four weeks from that point - so HomeSurplus must have just placed the order. All in all, I will not hesitate to go elsewhere - as a retailer, the service is terrible, verging on incompetent. BBB needs to investigate HomeSurplus for taking orders and payment and not delivering! Still don't have the cabinet, guess they must be waiting for the tree to grow. As a comparison, I've bought cabinets that have delivered in a week from other establishments. I'll go back to shopping with other cabinet retailers I've used prior and recommend that you save your time, money and get your project actually done with a different vendor because this is not the place where any of that will happen!
