I'm seriously torn on this review. The overall experience of taking senior pics was a nightmare. There was zero organization or actual guidance on what to do. You basically walk into an open mall area with a bunch of sets built up. There were probably half as many photographers as there were sets, and there were no actual lines at any sets. There was one time where we walked over to one of the sets where the photographer was shooting and thought we'd be next. She finished shooting, then gathered her camera and went somewhere else without even so much as acknowledging our presence.
The front desk staff were the worst part of the experience. It started with us arriving early for the first appointment and I was chastised for being early and told that I couldn't check in until my appointment time. In my world, early is on time and on time is late. I don't mind waiting for my appointment time to begin, but getting snippy with me for being early is out of line.
They then tried to get me to agree to buying a digital copy of all of the pictures before we had even taken a single picture. I was told we could have $100 off on that purchase, but only if we decided now. I asked what the other options were and was told they would let me know those if I declined to buy the digital copies. What kind of business insists that you decide whether to give them $1,000+ before you've seen the product and refuses to tell you what other options you have unless you decline that first.
I then told them that I had twins and asked if we could make a modification to the presentation appointment and do both of them at the same time. They told me that they had no idea and I should ask when I checked out. I asked this same question during check in and check out for both of my boys and was given the runaround all 4 times I asked.
When you check in, they give you a sheet with a QR code and a list of the scenes you've purchased for your shoot that you take around and give to each photographer. During my second check in they front desk guy tried to give it to my son, but his hands were full, so I reached out to take it instead. The front desk guy snatched it away from me and insisted that only my son should handle the paper. Excuse me!? I'm the one paying thousands for this, not him. He wouldn't even be there if I didn't make him go. It seems like you people need to figure out who the actual customer is here and learn some manners while you're at it.
After all of that bad, there was some good. The photographers all seemed to really enjoy what they were doing and were doing their best to get good shots. They were all super friendly and willing to listen when I asked for something specific. When we got to see the final pictures, they all looked good to great.
Also, for our presentation appointment, Courtney really pulled the experience out of a tailspin. After the reaction I had gotten when I asked to combine the presentations, I went in there expecting to have to get pushy to convince them to do both presentations at once. Courtney surprised me because she had apparently noticed that the boys were back to back on their appointments and already combined everything into one presentation. She was very professional during the entire process, and even let me know that they had a twin discount that gave me a good chunk off on the pics for the second boy. I won't state the amount, as I know they may change it at some later point, but if you have multiples, ask them about the discount.
My suggestion for Cady would be to get a manager working in the studio to oversee things and not depend on college kids to run things on their own. They should put someone in the studio wearing something obvious that can work as a contact for people to help keep things moving smoothly and make sure customers are taken care of. They should also work with their front desk people on customer service skills. If they would do all of that, they could create an experience that people will enjoy. Without that, I'm afraid that giving them 3 stars is the most...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have no clue how they have such a high review rating when everyone I talk to says how awful their photos turned out.
We have to use them for our schools senior photos, like most. The experience was terrible. We did the smallest booking option available which was the cap and gown, senior photo with drape and one casual setting. There were two people doing to casual and Iām assuming one was training. The other guy didnāt do much to assist and she kept having to go back and adjust and have our daughter adjust and cover a light plate etc. when we got the photos back she was devastated.
The photographers didnāt say anything about her hair pieces being out of place and standing up around her far ear that I couldnāt see with the angle. It was from all the adjustments she was having her do, when paying a studio and these prices⦠those things should be noticedā¦and corrected before continuing to photograph. Her top was not positioned correctly after multiple adjustments and repositioning over and over and our daughter was very self conscious as sheās āheavy up topā and was freaking out seeing the photos. Again a professional photographer and studio should recognize and guide a student/client to adjust tops and things to be flattering and not inappropriate photos after.
The draped senior photos werenāt much better as her hair was standing around her ear and partially raised from the drape and getting the pearls on etc. the cap and gown photos were probably the better of the photos from what I could see but of course I donāt actually have those proofs because they come out later closer to graduation and for another feeā¦
Although the cap and gown ones with the diploma took awhile as they were having her drop the diploma and the photographer had to retake it multiple times to get the timing right for the photos.
I had planned on just getting an image or two. I was told at check out that it would be $50 a piece for each photo printed š³ or I could just get all the digital photos for $175 or something around there⦠I decided to just go ahead and do the digital package as I figured it was a better deal when you think two photos $100 or all for $175⦠ya until the digital photos came in and our daughter hated all of them. And by all of them I mean like 10⦠you would think all that time and all those photos taken⦠and the cost that you would be receiving a large amount of photos⦠nope! I have two more children behind her and I will not be purchasing another photo from them. We will do the bare minimum for the yearbook photo and thatās it.
Now we are out the sitting fee, the digital photo cost and STILL had to have photos taken that our daughter could treasure and be proud of!!
Again I cannot for the life of me understand HOW they have a high rating⦠everyone in the parent group that asks about Cady gets 100ās of responses back about how they hated their experience⦠I guess nobody is coming here to voice...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis company is the worst. At the end of a presentation, they make you fill out a google review in front of their staff, which is why they are all 5 stars. Their photographers take horrible pictures, and their prices are beyond outrageous. They took my son's senior photos, and I had to pay $1000 to get a flash drive with the cap and gown pics, or there was no other way to have them. When I arrived for the photo presentation, I was at the front desk when a girl came and told the person behind the desk she was going on break. Well, that was the person who was supposed to give my presentation, I had to wait 25 minutes to start. Don't pick the "most popular" package, or you can't get your photos without going back to the studio to have a formal presentation of the photos they took. There was a discount offered that was not available to me because they didn't schedule my presentation for TWO MONTHS - nothing was available to book an appointment for over 2months, but the discount was only available if you were ordering within 30 days of the photo shoot. The presenter bugged and bugged me trying to sell the flash drive with the pictures for $1000 or $750 without the cap and gown photos. The minimum price to order pics was $189, and that was for only one pose and 3 sheets of printed photos. I rescheduled a presentation because with all the pushiness, I couldn't decide what to do, and they no-showed the presentation that we rescheduled. I cannot say enough terrible things about the experience, and as I talk to others, they consistently say they had the same experience. Of maybe 40 pictures, only 5 were decent/good. If the school uses them for my other child next year, I will not have them taken and will opt for a private photographer. I feel badly for the schools that don't let their students use anyone else but Cady. I have truly never had such a horrible experience with any other company or any other...
